Lmao dude what world do you live in that doesn't expect the most wins possible? Do you date really ugly girls because if they are a bit prettier, you won't be disappointed? I only like hot chicks and damn hot teams. And the Blazers are fire... Deal with it!

See, you're bitter already.

(Dude, I'm just fucking with you but thanks for calling my woman ugly.)

I personally attack Mags

There, Hope you feel better

I do, thanks!

It's not BS. I'm having a hard time seeing where the scoring is going to come from. Teams are going to double team the shit out of Lillard. But here's the deal, if I believe the Blazers are going to struggle to win 20 games and then end up winning 25 games, I'm a happy fan. They exceeded my expectations. If you believe that they'll win 30 games and they only win 25 games you'll be disappointed. If they do win 30 games I'll still be a happier fan than you because they barely met your expectations while blasting past mine.

I'm setting myself up to be a happy fan while you're a 50/50 shot at being bitterly disappointed.

You're setting yourself up to have a heart attack if they win 35, while I'm setting myself up for an excuse to happily enjoy getting drunk with sadness if they win 25.

You should expect in the 30s. My way, you can't lose even while pretending to be sad. Your risky way, you can die.

I think we'll beat 30. But to get to 40, Lillard will have to return to his rookie clutch shooting, and I don't think he can. Success has made him mentally fat.

Also, for these personnel, Stotts would have to change his system from offense to defense, and I don't think he can.

I couldn't disagree with you more... And I believe that you are also in the minority on this one...

People make stupid comments here all the time. A wise dog once told me to let it go. Maybe you should do the same?

I answered his alert before I read the thread. So you're admitting that you make stupid comments all the time? Finally! Baby steps baby steps...

Well, sly, catching up on things, you answered my Q in another question about you being serious or not. lol.

Whether Mags's GF comparisons was the right one or right, the want to compare is valid. I would never go through my life choosing the easy path, just because I am afraid of failure from the harder path.

I would never say, you know, the fish might not be biting today, so rather than be disappointed, I'm gonna sit at home and not take the chance in believing something more.

Sorry man, but as a Blazer fan, it sounds like a cop out. I honestly believe this is a .500 team next year and if they come close I will be happy. If they don't, then I think we need to look at the coaching staff, baring any glaring, obvious reasons like injuries, because there is young raw talent here.

Now if you truly believe the potential of this team is no more than 20 wins, I respect that... But then that would also mean you think NO has done a terrible job in who he has brought in, which I think I have read you think he has done a good job, correct?

If you think they have potential to win more, but don't believe it for lack of disappointment, then that's a cop out.

No, he's just saying that you both need to stop snarking at each other.

I was having fun with Mags but in looking at the roster I think this team is going to have a lot of trouble scoring. Defense will be better and the overall effort will be strong but wins are going to be a struggle. I don't think NO has done a terrible job. I understand and support the direction he is going on. I like this far better than if he were to have lost LMA while bringing back Wes, Batum and Rolo. That would have been a team that could have made the 7 or 8th playoff spot but could have never gone beyond that.

While we may go into this season with the roster in front of us, there is a very good chance this ain't it. It's a bit premature to be shooting off dire predictions, if ya know what I mean.

I've been in the minority on practically everything since the radical 60s. If you want lessons on how to survive as a minority, just ask me.

Between now and the beginning of training camp what moves do you see as having a "very good chance" of being made? And by moves I'm talking about the sort that are big enough to radically change this team's near term fortunes. Big trades don't happen between August and September (or at least I can't recall one) the free agent pool is picked clean, and . . . well I'm not sure how else the team is supposed to reshape the roster outside of those two avenues.

I think this is pretty much it. I predict he'll pick up one more free bench player, a minor player. I hope he'll keep an opening to pick up the best player cut the day before the regular season starts, but he seems to want to fill out with Montero's, who is a multi-year Hail Mary.

I manage to get you conservatives, and dviss (who said he has me on Ignore), all against me. I must be doing something right!

I enjoy your posts. So, yeah, you're doing something right!

Who says anybody's against you? You're the salsa on the S2 chip.

If we could trade for a Paul George type of guy, I'd be thrilled. The needle movers like Anthony Davis are untouchable but still could swap a few pieces for Boogie Cousins or a Paul George type guy. Would you sell high on Meyers, CJ or Vonleh to get a difference maker? All three have maximum value right now after all having shown some success...15 minutes of fame. It's a tough call. 2 allstars on a team gets you the playoffs, 3 gets you a shot at the finals.
