<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (NetsDaily)</div><div class='quotemain'>82games.com is confirming what Lawrence Frank has been saying: the Nets simply weren’t willing to sacrifice their bodies in the paint. Its annual list of offensive charges shows that Devin Harris was among the leaders with 37 total charges taken (six with NJ), while Boki Nachbar took 27. Richard Jefferson 22 and Vince Carter 16. The Nets’ big men–Josh Boone, Sean Williams, Nenad Krstic, Stromile Swift and Desagana Diop–had a total of 33 (including those taken with other teams).</div>
Taking the Charge - - 82games.com
I remember Boki took the most charges in the games that I saw - that was one of my favorite things about him this season. Probably the only good thing I saw from him.
The young bigs, they gotta learn how to take charges. They're all shotblockers, they always attempt to go for the block...they've gotta learn that's not everything. They've gotta learn charges are just as valuable as blocks.
I understand Krstic's lack of charges - last season, he had alot, and I loved that. But this season...he played scared, sparingly, slow, etc.
Collins, on the other hand, took 15 charges with Memphis and 13 with the Nets. Now, I miss him. Next season, we sign him - player, coach, player-coach, whatever.
Darrell took 11 with the Nets (in limited playing time, +1). Marcus took 3, just as many as Ager (3).
Shame on you, Marcus.
Kidd took 5 with NJ, 6 with Dallas. Malik Allen took 7 with the Nets, 3 with Dallas. Wright took 7 with NJ, 2 with Dallas. Just putting that out there.
