If Greg Oden is to play AT ALL, it better be for the Blazers. We've invested this much time and emotional baggage...
But if he IS let go, I could stand to see him sign with either the Cavs (Ohio State) or Pacers (home state). It helps that they suck and are in the other conference. What is definitely NOT allowed is him going to OKC or the Lakers or some such. Feel free to add the Heat if you hate them, too.

Because if he plays AT ALL, I'm sure he'll actually be pretty good. Look at Amare. Look at Kenyon Martin. Still solid contributors.

Did Amare have both knees done? I know that K-mart did. At this point maybe replacing both knees with some type of space age metal from Area 51 would be the way to go. I wish Greg the best, but I think he might be done as a Blazer, I could see him going to Miami, OKC or basically someplace to get a new start where there are no expectations.

Well if he doesn't want to have high expectations then South Beach is the place for him. Personally I think that Portland is going to let him test the waters, I really don't see anyone offering him huge money at this point, keeping him on the cheap might be a good thing should he ever make it back to playing. I'd be happy at this point for 10 PPG and 7 REBS with 30 BLOCKED SHOTS. :O)

I don't see that it matters how many knees you get it on (once you get past zero). You can't play basketball on one leg.

The Cavs would be okay. If he actually managed to have a career, it might be a little salve on the wound of LeBron leaving.

That's true, but the more knees you have it on, the more recoveries you need to make to reach the necessary 100% good legs. If you had microfracture, say, on seven knees, you'd need to make seven successful recoveries. I'd say that's the main reason why microfracture on two knees is worse than one knee...full recovery from any particular surgery is not guaranteed, so having to make two recoveries instead of one lowers your chances of having two NBA functional legs.
