Last week, Ted Cruz dismissed an entire group of Americans from running for president: atheists.

When asked if a fear in God is an important quality for president at the National Religious Liberties Conference in Iowa on Friday, Cruz said, "Any president who doesn't begin every day on his knees isn't fit to be commander in chief of this nation."

I wholeheartedly understand his view. He’s just wrong. I would gladly put my trust in wisdom over voodoo.

This made me laugh. Anybody he doesn't bow to the imaginery man in the sky isn't smart enough top be president. If you don't believe in fairy tales, you're irrational and unfit!

Listen, believe what you want. No judgements from me. Any belief is as valid as the next. But when you try governing people's lives off of your own beliefs, which have no physical evidence, then that's an issue. Don't use "faith" as if it assigns supiority. I hate that crap. That's cultish behavior.

There's a sex joke to be made, but damnit, it's early in the morning.

Hmm...

Yes? Any belief is far fetched without evidence, and there's no evidence supporting anything. Thus, any belief is imaginary, a fairy tale, and shouldn't be used to given as it's as valid as the next.

Oh yeah, well I don't think Ted Cruz should be president either, take that!

The funny thing is I wouldn't be surprised if the current president and the one before him were secret Atheists either.

100% agree - Trump is religious for political purposes only. No doubt.

So what constitutes “evidence”? And does “everyone” have to see that evidence in order for God (or whoever or whatever) to exist?? I personally have seen things that I consider to be irrefutable “proof” or “evidence” of something greater beyond this time and place. And I certainly don’t need another person’s validation of that evidence. That said, “religious” idiots like Paul Ryan and a whole slew of other bible thumping hypocrites prove beyond a doubt that a belief in God has absolutely nothing to do with “leadership” or doing the “right” thing......our current state of affairs is vivid proof.

Being an Atheist requires more faith than accepting the presence of a deity. There is no evidence to support being an atheist. Where as logic and probability support the presence of a deity.
Therefore, I would not even consider speaking for another man on the subject, certainly not the President.

If you get a present, you won't be able to tell anyone about it. 2 Cor. 9:15--"Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift."

I got, like, the bestest pony ever. It was, like, really awesome and special, and it had these thingys, and also like stuff on it, and I personally believe that U. S. ponies are unable to do so because, uh, some people out there in our nation don't have ponies and, uh, I believe that our ponies, like such as in South Africa and, uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should—our ponies over here in the U. S. should help the U. S., uh, or, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq, and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future, for our children.

Lyin' Ted spends plenty of time on his knees, praying for Trump to come.

Lying Ted is one of the swamp’s chief obstructionists to Trump, and not taken seriously by most conservatives.

Cruz votes with Trump 91.9% of the time, according to fivethirtyeight.

google search "support for atheists" ...what there is no evidence for is a heaven with a god and angels ...we have a thread about being alone in the universe somewhere though...and that hell down below with a Satanic master...that's yet to be proven as well...that people have faith in the possibility is another matter.

Ted is occasionally useful for his vote. I will not be voting for him to be president. He is the classical example of a man that will use faith and the faithful to no good. The very example of why we
need Democrats to be democrats, for balance, not obstruction.

Was it evidence because you couldn't find something else to attribute it to? Still, that evidence probably wasn't strict enough to outline the specificity of an organized religion.

Huh?

Does this mean Reagan was wrong for postponing a Summit because his wife said it would be bad because the stars said so?

Try to understand infinity. You can't. That's something I attribute to God.

I guess I am God, for I understand infinity.

Bow down before me.
