Religion Ted Cruz: Atheists shouldn't be president

I guess I am God, for I understand infinity.

Bow down before me.

I sincerely doubt that.

Infinity is bigger than ANYTHING you can think of. All we know is that it's really really big.

I think we've arrived at the point where president should be elected like jury duty....might actually attract some talent to the job

Was it evidence because you couldn't find something else to attribute it to? Still, that evidence probably wasn't strict enough to outline the specificity of an organized religion.
First of all, fuck organized religion. Those institutions have done more to set mankind back than anything else man has ever created. Second, it was evidence (to me...and my opinion is the only one that matters in these particular instances) because there were no other earthly explanations (including “coincidence) for them. You need to rid yourself of the notion that others have to believe in order for what you know to be true to be “real”. I know what I know and that’s all that matters at the end of the day, the week, the month, the year and the life. You can call me a fool, but I believe that those who don’t believe in some kind of afterlife that rewards or punishes those who live this life to be the real fools.

to have an afterlife assumes I've had a life to begin with!

Agree 100%, on every topic.

I have the same sentiments towards organized religion.

All I know is things are subjective. I definitely think here is some sort of spiritual world or dimension based on a many different things, but since none of it's physical and it's based off experience, then nobody should be limited based off any belief that's not hate-based.

I don’t hold strong atheistic views but I lean that way. But what I don’t want is governing based on any religion. We have folks that want sharia law, folks who want the Bible taught in school, folks who want contraception banned and all sorts of other dangerous BS based on religion.

I do typically trust very religious people to treat me kindly and be respectful. I don’t trust them to do what’s required for our community to grow, develop and progress towards a better tomorrow.

I got, like, the bestest pony ever. It was, like, really awesome and special, and it had these thingys, and also like stuff on it, and I personally believe that U. S. ponies are unable to do so because, uh, some people out there in our nation don't have ponies and, uh, I believe that our ponies, like such as in South Africa and, uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should—our ponies over here in the U. S. should help the U. S., uh, or, should help South Africa and should help the Iraq, and the Asian countries, so we will be able to build up our future, for our children.

Can I suggest 20% tariffs on EU ponies?

Yes there is logic to support the those with faith of some kind in a deity.
This man provides the logic more than any other if you like logic and mathematics.
Kurt Gödel

Gödel's incompleteness theorems. I guess it is open to interpretation that the axioms we can not prove are a deity or not. My $0.02 is that it is not any deity that is defined anywhere in any kind of human religion (Except Pastafarianism which clearly stands alone, because, pasta).

Of course, the beauty of the incompleteness theorem is that any "religious" proof is just as suspect as any atheist proof.

It is funny that he explained his theorems using orders of infinity... - bringing it back to the Lanny/Barfo discussion.

Polytheism! Who wants to be a god? You're a god, and you're a god... [/Oprah]

Wasn't she giving away Pontiac G6's?

If I won one I'd know Satan was real. My luck to win a new car and it's a shitty Pontiac. Thanks Satan

Googled it and saw this. Oprah is such a fraud. Giving those people cars that will break down right after the warranty was fucked up. See #3

having completely forgotten about that whole car thing, the second you mentioned breaking down after the warranty had expired I thought "must be a GM product". Lo-and-behold, it was a Ponticrap.

If Oprah offered me a free car, I shouldn't have to pay taxes on shit. But if I did, I'd rather take the cash from her than a Ponticrack.

Yep. My wife's focus is breaking again during the warranty. My 2003 focus with 180 thousand on it is good to go. That transmission in the new one.....

Anyone who revolves their entire existence around some ancient science-fiction writer's stories is not mentally fit for office.

It depends on the religious person.

It was largely religious people who defeated the Nazis.
