AR Classification???? Administrative Regulation Classification? Allergic rhinitis classification?

AR as in AR-15 means Armalite as in the brand name. AR is not a classification and it does not mean Assault Rifle.

On top the silver/chrome handgun is a .45 1911. They are very common and very reliable.
On the top left is a Glock 43. Also very reliable
The one in the middle is a newer Scorpion EVO 3 or 4??? It is considered a pistol but it is far from a simple hand gun. Yes those clips are way too big without a permit.
The gun on the bottom looks like an ACP .380 or maybe a PICO .380. That looks to me like an ACP Taurus but i can't be sure?

Anyway you look at it he was wrong and this was a stupid move.

Just looked it up, you are correct. The middle weapon is a Scorpion EVO. But it gets into the gray area of the federal gun laws.

If it does not has a stock attached, it is classified as a pistol. It is possible to attach a stock to this weapon, it then becomes a rifle requiring the special license.

Felon with a gun. Simple.
He was convicted for the same charge in 2007 and it cannot be expunged. Simply put he fucked up. He knew he was a felon and was not allowed to possess a gun. Then having a loaded weapon "one in the chamber" would put him at second degree at least.

No question he should have took a deal rather than trying to fight this charge. But he was found guilty because he was guilty of the charge. These are class C felonies.
Telfair might be a "good dude" or whatever but he ain't smart for sure. Taking a charge like this to trial was stupid. Almost as stupid and driving around smoking pot and driving over medians with your headlights off in the middle of the night while you have multiple weapons in your vehicle while you are a felon. Idiot!
Haha :biglaugh:

A quick reminder: he was let go by the Celtics after a very brief tenure there for the same thing... and that wasn't his first problem with guns:

Telfair's brief NBA career has been marred by controversy, starting with his 2005 fine by the Portland Trail Blazers after a loaded gun was found on the team's private jet at Boston's Logan Airport.

He was a complete idiot coming out of HS, believing in his own NY playground legend BS. Apparently, he hasn't grown up.

Honestly I cannot speak for New York gun laws but I can for Washington and Oregon. Federal rules only apply to transportation and sales across state lines. So yes huge grey areas. But here that is a high volume hand gun. The max clip is 9 rounds +1 . So just the clips alone get you in trouble unless you have the permit for them. You can never conceal that weapon and to transport you need to have some form of locking mechanism. There is no Stock so to speak but there is a side grip for two handed use as the barrel will get hot.

The Jump to The Jumpsuit. Even the title was orange. What a waste.

My intent of this post is to keep people out of trouble with the gun laws, not to win a friendly arguement.

The Scorpion EVO can be purchased with or without a stock. If purchased without a stock, one can be added.

The two versions have completely different regulations. Without a stock, it falls under the pistol regs. With a stock, it falls under the Fed and in many states (if not all), their short barreled rifle regs.

Not sure about OR, but WA reg RCW.9.41.190 states

It is unlawful for anyone to own, have in their possession, buy, or sell a short barreled rifle, or, covert a weapon to a short barreled rifle. Unless in compliance with Fed laws.

But then again, sharing a cell with Telfair maybe loads of fun.

How does Telfair get multiple years in prison for this when the guys who occupied the Malheur refuge got off scot free?

One of the occupiers was shot and killed. 18 were convicted or pleaded guilty and sentenced.

Point being, Telfair was put in prison essentially for owning a gun and being a moron. Multiple of the guys who occupied the place walked after trial even though they too were morons, and arguably even more of morons than Telfair. The justice applied against each seems a bit uneven to me.

Yes it did, but the dude was pulling a gun on law enforcement.

You need to start checking the facts before making so many exaggerated claims

He did have a gun in his pocket. It was still there when he was shot, 3 times in the back. That alone should raise questions.

And this was after an FBI agent already fired two shots at the car with woman inside. Then later lied about it.

Here's a photo of what they confiscated:

Don't know what kind of crap Telfair was into, but it couldn't have been good crap. He could have faced a 15 year sentence, so 3.5 years is the minimum. They've got tough gun laws in NY and Telfair is from there. He knew, or should have known, that there's a stiff penalty to face for this kind of thing.

There are people in this very forum who have arsenals like that.

He was shot reaching for a gun when stopped by law enforcement, there’s even video evidence.

My point still stands, the justice leveled against Telfair seems a bit harsh compared to what the Bundy’s got — which was freedom. System is broken!

The irony to me here is that the gun in the middle looks so "evil", but in reality it shoots the same bullets (9mm) at the same rate as the little ones on top, but is more difficult to conceal. You have to wonder what he was up to, or what was he thinking (he wasn't). Maybe he thought it looked cool. Doesn't look very cool from inside a cell.
Yes, but it comes with a very large clip or two or....also easier to aim.

Waste of a draft pick, certainly - but what a waste of an opportunity to have lived a dream life despite not panning out as a player.

Correct. We DIDNT draft CP3 or D-Will because we already had Bassy on the roster and thought he was our point guard of the future

Asshole Deron Williams specifically said he doesn't want to play in Portland.

I will never understand why responsible gun owners support gun morons. Sailing nerds don't support sailing morons. If this guy thinks he's in Beirut, move to Salt Lake City.
Agree. I knew hunters. They didn't march into Starbucks with guns strapped to their dicks. Most of us own cars. Most of us dislike asshole drivers.

Certain of that. But the fact remains. They were driving around with them. He is a felon. Smoking pot while driving which in itself is just wrong. Crossing a highway median at night with the lights off. Loaded weapons in the car. Extended magazines that require an additional permit to even own legally.

Pretty sure most in this forum understand the consequences for their actions. If i do that i go to jail. It's that simple.

You are quacking at the wrong duck. I know well what AR stands for and a pistol built on an Armalite Rifle Platform lower receiver is commonly called an AR pistol, as opposed to those made by HK and Sig.
