Ya it's awesome. But I really disagree with this notion that the team was built around Dame. Neil did very little "building." The team even now, is not optimized to max Dame's talents while minimizing his deficiencies.

How the hell does Dame remember an exact play from 2 years ago? Man, these dudes are savants.

It's really weird. Jack Nicklaus was famous for remembering what the wind was like on random shots from random rounds 20 years later. Not just that he hit a nice 1-iron at Pebble to win.

Well...

A) He didn't seem to remember many of the teams they played on that trip.

B) They watch a lot of film, and that play may have been a key one the coaches and players pointed to.

One thing I especially admire about Dame is the way he relates to his teammates, specifically, and in general to the other people he relates to around the league. It's refreshing in this day of self-absorbed prima donna athletes to see a guy who is as gifted as Dame is treat other people with respect. That attitude is going to serve him well not only now, but in the future when his playing days are done. I can definitely see him as a future head coach at the NBA level.

Dame is a class act...he reminds me more and more of Chauncey Billups...just a voice of reason, unselfish and takes responsibility for the environment around him...respect...pass it on

We'd better trade this guy, fast.
