"I learned early in my time with the Blazers that I would have to learn how to spot up and shoot because Clyde was going to be filling that lane, drawing the defenses," Porter said. "And I can't count the number of times Clyde came down the court, and teams tried to close the lane, and he found me in the corner."

See? And that's why Roy liked playing with Blake. Miller's inability to hit the three really hurts Roy's game.

That may be true to an extent - but Blake was no Terry Porter. While Blake's shooting may have helped Roy's game on the offensive end, Miller's game helps the team.

Does it help the team to hinder our best player's ability to score?

You overlooked something...Porter learned to shoot, to help Drex. So maybe Andre will learn to shoot threes to help Roy. You'd have chucked Porter out for Blake. :(

Porter learned in his third year. Miller is in his 11th year, on a three year contract. We need results now and sadly, he shot below his pathetic career average this season.

So he's a slow learner. Not every child is above average, you know.

Remember Roy has Batum or Webster at the three. Drexler had Kersey. The 3 ball was not Jerome's game. so it evens out.

This is crazy! 30 teams in this league would rather have Dre as their starting PG ahead of Steve. Plain and simple.

His third year with Glide. This is only Miller's first year with Roy. So he's got two years to go before he takes as long as Porter!

Unfortunately, his contract will then be up and he'll be about ready to retire.
