Is Terry Stotts secretly participating in timeouts rewards program where he can cash in all the timeouts he pockets for rewards at the end of the year? This team constantly gives up double digit leads without Stotts calling a timeout to stop the momentum. Stotts would rather let a double digit lead completely evaporate than call a timeout.

Brad Stevens sees us score 2 possessions in a row and immediately calls a timeout. Same with other elite coaches like Pop, Spo and Kerr.

Substitutions in the 4th quarter of the best shooting % Blazers is an area where the Blazers must be improved to get the wins needed to advance through the playoffs.

Terry has a horrible feel for the game.
He can't feel a momentum swing while it's happening.

What about Frank Vogel? I read that Orlando want to fire him in Summer

I don't see how Stotts can be considered for C.O.Y when for most of the season he tinkered with the line up endlessly and then when he finally went back to the starting 5 that led the team into the playoffs things went well. Now during multiple games he seems to have little to no feel for the flow of the game. He also seems to fall out of love with players quickly, which then allows him to tinker with the lineup. It's irritating.

Fact Check: Our current starting line up did not start a single game together last season. In fact, one of the starters from that group that led the team to the playoffs is no longer with the team.

Plus, Harkless was playing like shit for the first 4 months of the season. He absolutely did not deserve to be starting. Whatever it was that motivated Mo to get his shit together, Stotts returned him to the starting line up as soon as he proved he deserved it.

With the addition of Collins and the loss of Crabbe, he also had to tinker with the bench rotations to see what combinations worked well together.

But he did call a great timeout to prevent us from scoring 2v1 !

Nurk was in the act of dunking the ball without a defender when he called that. Dame was pissed. He had some words with Stotts on the way too the bench area.

"Introducing the New Terry Stotts Timeouts Rewards Program. For every timeout left at the the end of the game the Blazers will donate $100 to the 'Get a Fucking Clue Foundation'. For every timeout called by Stotts after a 15-0 or larger run by the opponent (the opponent must have taken the lead before the timeout was called for it to count towards rewards) the Blazers will donate $300 dollars. If Terry Stotts calls a timeout while the Blazers are making an unhindered basket, then the Blazers will make a $500 donation. Coach Terry Stotts is doing his part this season to make sure the Timeouts Rewards Program is successful. Keep up the good work Terry!"

Basically, they said it was a good think Portland won or that 'timeout' would have been a much bigger issue.

At least Stotts learned how to slow a team down. Now if he can just figure out that maybe that would be better used on the opposition we will have coaching growth. :irock:

Literally checked back in tonight to see if someone was going to mention this. Dame was pissed, and it was the 2nd TO in a row that Stotts called from the bench during play (one after an ORB, and one on a 2-on-1). I semi-jokingly was wondering if someone had shown Coach this thread and he was testing out some new moves. Dame wasn't having it, though.

Now they are saying Dame was directing his words towards the ref who was right behind Stotts....Ford.
