Thanks man.

The similar threads at the bottom of the page are pretty relevant, too. I'm impressed with how good that turned out.

One question. Why do all the long time members all have 83 trophy points. Seems kind of weird that they would all have the exact same number?

There you go.

Even though I only like you, I don't like you like you.

You are a gentleman and a scholar, Denny Crane.

But hey... I'm still at 63. Must not update the total immediately?
Or maybe your like doesn't count because you didn't really mean it?

Counters are updated periodically.

And I see 83 trophy points.

83 is beyond the ObamaCare expiration date. He should be very afraid.

If Barfo gets more trophy points I want more trophy points!

They have to pass a law requiring people to give barfo trophy points or pay a penalty.

You now have 83 points! Like!

Dogs are easily amused, it seems.

Look, a stick!

OK, so I think we have identified the issue.

What is happening is there are a lot of posts happening really fast. When you do a quick reply, there is an exchange with the server that downloads any new posts since you last loaded the page (or fetched new posts this way). Over a period of time, you grow and grow the size of the WWW page in your browser to the point it's HUGE and bogs down your computer.

That people with 50 posts per page see the issue fits this diagnosis.

The fix may be to just reload the browser once you start feeling any laggyness.

I also turned off animations (the slide in effect) for inserting the new posts. That might take a load off your computers.

I just did a re-fresh and it helped a little. But it still lags behind.

what still lags behind?

Describe the problem you see better so I can understand it better.

As I type, my the letters appear on the screen well after I type them. You know, lagging.

Julius

I turned off all the site addons and force you to the plain default xenforo skin. If you are still experiencing the sluggish typing, we'll at least have eliminated any of the addons or the skin from being the issue.

Are you seeing the blue skin?

If so, can you repeat your test and see if it's still laggy?
