Would you have been just as offended if it were a woman who grabbed your ass?

I remember being downtown, years ago, with a childhood friend of mine and a co-worker of his (she was quite a dish).

As we were walking around, some guy came around and was (clearly drunk or something) going around giving out "high fives".

He went up to my friends friend and gave her a high five, and then to my friend he did the same but went "hey, just because I'm gay doesn't mean I'm flirting with you" and then when he got to me he stopped and said "well, with you, maybe I am".

and I high-fived him.

After he left, my friend asked me if I was bothered by it (I am not one for hugging, etc).
"the only thing I was concerned about was that guy needs to see an optometrist, as he's clearly losing his vision"

But what about other church things like baptism? communion? Do you believe gays should be allowed to participate in those?

Baptism and communion are for believers in Christ. i.e. Christians. It's a personal decision and not one for me to judge. It's between them and God, period.

What's so bad about that? It's not like he thought you were ugly, right? Dude, I'd feel flattered if anyone, gay or straight, thought I was good looking enough to hit on me. The grabbing ass thing is not a good idea to be doing to me, though. Now, if someone mistook me for being a Lakers fan, these hands will be swinging!

thats what im saying. Is it possible to be flatteroffended?

lol

trust me, i went home thinking, damn im so fine i even attract the same sex. Hahaha

but it was a “wth dude?” Moment. As ive never been one to even think it cool to do that to a woman i didnt know.

So according to you god says gay marriage bad but baptism and communion is a personal choice.

While men here found inappropriate touching an annoyance, I don't see any of you feeling threatened.

If they want to be baptized and take communion, that's certainly their choice. Lemme ask you, do you know the significance of those specific sacraments?

So according to you out of these 3 sacraments, one of them isn't available to gay people.

I asked you a question. Are you going to answer it?

BTW, there's a difference between covenants and sacraments.

I had a former co worker of mine gyrate her hips towards me (we were holding something up).

I didn't necessarily feel threatened, but I definitely did not appreciate it and felt it made me feel super uncomfortable.

Distanced myself from her from that moment on

So do marriages that are done outside of church (universal life ministries I think), not count?

In this day and age, not really sure why you'd have her do that. Sounds like trouble, for sure.

Ok, see, THAT was funny.

Baptism cleanses one from sins and offers them a metaphorical rebirth. Apparently, one has to be baptized to get to heaven.

For communion you eat crackers and drink wine that represent Jesus's body and blood to remember he died on the cross for everyone.

There are religious people out there who believe gay people can't go to heaven. What's your take on that?

Not true. See: The thief on the cross.

I'm sure he believes there will be separate but equal heavens.

Is God a conservative or a liberal?

Dismas appears to be an exception

Either way, I look at baptism to represent being a repentant soul. Also, a public testimony to others of my belief/faith in Christ. While Christ was sinless, yet baptized by John, I believe it was an example He was setting for us. Similar to washing the disciple's feet (servanthood) on Maundy Thursday.

I've actually been baptized twice. Once, at age 12 by my father (a minister), simply going through the motions, then again at age 32 soon after my "true" conversion to Christ. I did it again because I wanted other to see the real thing. I was a new creation.

On God…………the irony is too thick to cut with a blowtorch…….

Here's the difference, pal. My questions come from countless sources in here. Sometimes, it's hard to keep up. Seriously.

Yes, but the only questions you make a serious attempt at answering are the religious ones. You know, where you can state your faith and/or belief and call it good, if for no other reason than NO ONE knows for absolutely certain, so you can’t be proven wrong (or even right). When it comes to the questions that actually have reality (or even science) based answers, you drop the turd in the punch bowl and bolt for the door……..
