I hope Trump declares a national emergency for the wall. That opens up the next Democratic President to declare national emergencies over gun violence, healthcare and climate change. He might end up being our savior. Yay Trump!

Declaring a national emergency over this (no eminent threat and only enacted once negotiations break down) will result in one of two things. 1) Struck down by the courts as unconstitutional.
2) It will become the new way to get big contentious items done like banning military style firearms.

It’s disgraceful that the senate one bring the bills to a vote where they would pass and put pressure on the president to in order to end his shutdown. Hell, the bill the congress passed was just passed by the senate before Trump changed his mind 100 to 0. For fucks sake!
