More Muslim hate crimes, terrorism, violence, is gonna spike under Trumps watch than any president before him. Hate begets hate. It has already begun with the people he is picking for his cabinet, people who are so far right it's not funny. Bannon is a white supremist sympathizer, he'll he is probably in the KKK, I wouldn't doubt that Trump is too, he'll he's probably the grand wizard.

This. I'm tired of the come-back rhetoric about "White Christian Males".

The differences between the extremism is so apparent, that it is impossible to ignore. When someone says "Praise Jesus"/"God Bless You", you smile and you don't question whether it's the last thing you'll hear on this Earth.

But when someone screams "Allahu Akbar", it sends people running for cover.

Get a clue.

Yeah, and that worked out well. Reagan was already showing signs of his Alzheimers by the end of his second term. But you're right, Trump does seem higher energy. Let's see what he does with that energy. That probably will have more to do with his prospects for reelection than his age.

i am not defending Islam, just pointing out the hypocrisy of an opinion defending and dismissing christian terrorists as a non existing threat.
 
When will we recognize that religion, any religion, is a plague? It poisons the mind. It is a tool used by leaders to control the masses. The fear of death is a powerful weapon, and when correctly wielded you can get people to do pretty much anything. I stopped going to church because I could see the fear and hypocrisy permeating through the system. I can not condone an organization, any organization, that promotes fear and hatred and control.

Spirituality is fine. I'm still spiritual. I still believe that there's something out there. But that relationship is between me and whatever I choose to believe. I don't need a third party conduit. I don't need to give my money or my loyalty to some pitch man.

And now our political parties are using the same tactics to control the public. Fear and hatred. The GOP wants you to hate illegal aliens. They want you to fear and hate Muslims. They want you to fear and hate gay people and women who have abortions.

Meanwhile, the Democrats want you to fear and hate Republicans. I really hope people can recognize that. For all of the shit that the GOP gets for being bigoted and hateful, most of the Democrats seem to really and truly HATE the Republican party. They call them stupid. They call them ignorant. They call them racist and homophobic. I have seen videos of hate crimes committed against people for no reason other than who they think that person voted for.

It's a scary time right now. Lots of hate and fear on both sides.

I'm not denying their "threat". I'm denying their relevance in comparison to the number of extremists who follow Islam.

Once or twice a decade, some nutcase kills a few people at an abortion clinic. Or blows up a Federal Building (of which there hasn't been a domestic terrorist attack by a white male of that magnitude here in the US since Oklahoma City). And no major, mainstream Christian Leader condones such acts, nor tells their followers to commit such heinous crimes.

Now compare that to the religious leaders of Islam; both here in this country and overseas.

And yet, I can name 3 terrorist attacks just in the past 3 or 4 years, right here in this country, from the followers of Islam. Whereas in the past 3 decades, I can name maybe 3 "white christian males" who did terrorist attacks because of their perverted ideology.

Yes, extremist Christians are out there. No argument here. But they are FAR outnumbered by extremists and terrorists of Islam; to the point where they are almost completely irrelevant. Not to mention the fact that the Koran actually condones such violent behavior.

Whereas the New Testament does not. Nor does any high-ranking religious leader of the Christian Faith.

And Jerry Falwell doesn't count.

I figured out a long time ago (somewhere in the middle of Reagan's administration).....and I admit it's an oversimplification but.....the Left wants to tell people how to think and the Right wants to tell people how to act. And neither side has the right to do that. Fuck them both. And fuck any religion who backs either philosophy. The God I choose to believe in gave me a free will and conscience and I let them be my guide, knowing (believing) I will be held accountable for the choices I make, whether in this life or the next.

And anyone who thinks one party is the "good guys" and the other party is the "bad guys" really hasn't been paying attention for the past 40 years or so. Right now they are both equally bad. Maybe if they didn't spend so much time pointing fingers and playing "gotcha" they could get some positive things done. But that ain't gonna happen until we ALL quit drinking the koolade and start holding THEM accountable in THIS life......
