Trump Tax Plan Would Add Trillions To Debt; Clinton Plan Would Trim Deficits, Hike Taxes On Wealthy

Two new Tax Policy Center reports quantify the dramatic contrast between the latest tax plans of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.Clinton has proposed a significant tax increase on high- income households and businesses. Trump’s plan, while less ambitious than the version he released in 2015, would still largely benefit high-income households and result in a substantial boost in the federal debt.

Trump’s latest plan would reduce federal revenues by $6.2 trillion over the next decade, with nearly half of the tax cuts going to the highest-income one percent of households. Clinton, by contrast, would boost federal revenue by $1.4 trillion over the next decade, with the bottom 80 percent of households receiving tax cuts and the top one percent paying over 90 percent of the net tax increase.

These revenue estimates use traditional budget scoring and exclude macroeconomic effects (dynamic scoring) and changes in interest costs. With added interest, the Trump plan would add about $7.2 trillion to the national debt over the next decade. Because Clinton’s tax plan would reduce interest costs, it would trim the debt by $1.6 trillion over the next 10 years (though her spending proposals would likely soak up much of that revenue). TPC will soon release dynamic scores of both plans, which it produces in collaboration with the Penn Wharton Budget Model.

That model is based on the same economic growth and zero budget cuts. Would you like to wager that our economy will grow at least 5% GDP per year once the new tax plan kicks in?

No. Actually I'm fine. I'm not shocked Trump won either. YOU'RE gonna be the one losing your mind when Forbes' prediction comes true.
You did not know he was gonna win the election! Dude don't you know that you can bring up history? You said there was no way Trump wins

The last documented donation from Saudi Arabia was in 2014.

And she should've never been able to accept Bribes while she was Secretary of State. We have that piece of shit Obama to thank for that though.

And they only used 6% of their bribes for actual causes. Most of it went straight to their pockets.

That, of course, is not true at all.

Foolish post. Liberals HAVING a problem with all of these things is the reason WHY she lost.
I've never met a liberal that will condemn these things. Most of them just deny it like barfo.

Did you watch that Young Turks video that is in one of these threads?

The one dude goes apeshit about coming after all the corporate assholes that shoved Hillary down their throats. If he was being sincere (seemed it to me) then I respect that.

First, you should always love what Cenk says. He's a very trustworthy source. I saw it. And he was right. And it makes my post true. We knew all those things about Hillary, there were some who held their nose and voted for her. Lots of us didn't give her the honor. That's why she lost.

Cigars are expensive, why do you think Obama started easing off on Cuba right before Bill was supposed to be getting some new interns?

You know what cracks me up? I wing this shit off the top of my head and while typing it think it has a 10-15 percent chance of being at least part true.

Reading comprehension... Saying you're not shocked isn't saying you know the outcome.

So as I said. Your statement it's only 4 years will be as wrong as when you said Trump will never win the nom or the presidency. :)

Never saw that show before, felt bad for laughing at their pain...well, except for the cute girl. She seems like a psycho.

I could be way wrong about them as I said, never saw them before .

That six year old was one of Hillary's clones so......

I'm also sure Hillary has no idea who gives her foundation money, they just collect it in jars put out in front of WalMart.

So, do you think no one will donate to the Clinton Foundation now that Hillary is not going to be president?

Good question, let's wait and see. If Saudi Arabia gives them tons of cash then that looks good for the Clinton I'd say.

That's right, we've never met. Haven't I been condemning all of these things? Answer this:

How come Hillary had 10 million less votes than Obama and how come she lost states that he won?

Nevermind I got it:

It's because there were things about her Liberals HATED and they stayed home.

How much did people know about Obama at the time? I saw him give a speech at the Democratic convention 4 years before he won and it was amazing.

I didn't know jack shit about him at the time but I would have voted for him that night.

Gotta go to sleep, check back tomorrow.

No. Not now that everyone knows it's a front. Planned Parenthood and the ACLU are receiving a spike in donations, gun sales are slumping, Clinton's donations will slump too.

I did my research. Clinton got one vote from me back in 96'. I knew after his administration and when Hillary became a senator I'd never vote for her. But I'm kind of a junkie for politics.

I haven't seen this brought up before honestly.

Comb over vs Pant Suit with the flu......these are the most important issues that decided the campaign....there are more balding voters hiding behind comb overs than people wearing pant suits and stumbling...nothing gets past americans

BREAKING: Trump Announces Plan To ELIMINATE Overtime Pay For 20,000,000 Americans

President-elect Donald Trump’s most rabid supporters are in for a big surprise that is not going to make them very happy. Since Trump’s election win, Republicans have made clear they are already in cahoots to repeal Obamacare, reform taxes, and do away with several regulations that were issued late in the Obama administration.

POLITICO reported:

‘Weeks before the 115th Congress even begins, House Republicans are laying the groundwork for a major push to repeal President Barack Obama’s most recent regulations, using the Congressional Review Act. The 1996 law allows the House to reverse regulations enacted within the previous 60 legislative days — and the Senate to pass a repeal by simple majority instead of the upper chamber’s typical 60-vote threshold.’

The vast majority of them are. Just like the Blazers are 1 team of 30 this one instance you found is what 1 or 2 of 450+?

Looks like 50-50 to me.

The media isn't so interested in reporting on the half committing acts of violence against Trump.

Because the economic policies of the past 8 years have spent us into $20T of debt, massive growth of people needing food stamps, mediocre economic growth, job growth mostly in low paying fields, etc.

Don't act like it's good policy.

Walmart. They're costing us +60 Bil by not paying their workers a living wage.

And you just know this.... How can you come to a 50/50 conclusion when you think the bold is true? You just spitballing?

Say what?!?! What era have you been living in? The issue with "Wall Mart" isn't what puts people on food stamps. Those jobs could be given to teenagers or those just wanting to make extra cash. Just like the fast food industry, they are designed for those not needing a "living wage" but students or teenagers.

This notion needs to die. And it's a TIRED Republican talking point. The fact of the matter is that these jobs (cashier, customer svc) are not inhabited by the people YOU say those jobs are meant for.

A federal force of min. wage is ludicrous. This should be a state issue. $15 per hour in Alabama is a living wage. $15 per hour in Manhattan is extreme poverty. Also, if the cost of living in another state is lower, it can compete with other states for population growth. When you have some "CENTRAL MARXIST GOVERNMENT" deciding the good of all people, then everything in the U.S. should be the same. You ready for that?
