Julius would be a good buy low guy, maybe CJ/2nd rounder for Randle/Quickley then the balls bounce our way and we draft Chet(even though I’m not a believer) and Trade Nurk for Boucher and Precious. Leaves us pretty balanced…

Dame/Quickley
Ant/Keon/CJ2
Little/Winslow/Watford
Randle/Nance/GB3
Holmgren/Boucher

I’m assuming all the other guys who are gonna be FAs won’t be retained.

Ya i want julius randle

Did anyone else just see dame in IG live or something telling LeBron to “make that call bro”? A friend of mine just sent it to me I don’t know how to add it here

I would not give the Knicks a pick in that deal, I'd actually want one from them (also the deal doesn't quite work they would need to send back McBride as well who we would have to move or cut) and I would need Toronto's 2022 first rounder lottery protected if we're giving them Nurk for Boucher and Precious.

CJ, Nance and Nurk for....
Simmons, Hart and Hayes?

If Cronin were able to pull off that struck-by-lighting trade, I would start building the statue at One Center Court myself.
Yeah, it's highly unlikely but piece by piece none of the individual trades are too much of a stretch.

“You think this trade is bad? Here’s two more.”

If Dallas isn’t including Porzingis or DFS, there’s really no trade to be made with them.
I don't think the first one is bad! I would fucking jump at that trade. I would be amazed if Dallas would offer it, though.

I don't think we'll (be able to) trade CJ, but if we do, some people round here are going to be shocked at how little we get for him (you know, like the last trade?)

not close as a comp. Randle is a terrific playmaker and rarely plays in the post

Shifty, mid rangy, can collect the rebounds. Not as space eating as Zbo and has more range. But I stick by my comp. closest thing I’ve seen since zbo

It would be funny if this wasn't because they're being traded. It's actually because we want to tank and we told Bledsoe to fuck off.

the smart thing for Portland to do is try to trade Bledsoe, for something, between now and the deadline. Then immediately waive him the day after the deadline (or the night of) if no trade happens

I’ll bet there is a team out there that likes CJs veteran leadership. There has to be, right?

What to do with that Bledsoe contract? I did notice it's the same dollars as Eric Gordon. Gordon seems to be improving with age, actually having a career year, but we don't really need another 6'3" guard right? Could we facilitate a trade for someone else? I don't think so because any contender wanting him wouldn't have cap room to absorb him so how would they benefit? Anyone have any ideas? Although if we are going all in with Lillard next year and were able to use Simons as part of a deal to get Simmons or Siakam (yeh, yeh, I know I am dreaming), then Lillard, Hart and Gordon would be a tough threesome.

Saw another blurb that New Orleans still interested in CJ. Two ideas:
1. Indiana gets Jackson Hayes, Satoransky filler and a first round pick from New Orleans. New Orleans gets CJ and one of our minimums (just to balance the players going in and out). Portland gets Myles Turner and Hart.
2. Basically same except with Houston and we get Woods instead of Turner.

I'm really cool with either of those deals if we have a destination for Nurk that brings back value at a position or positions of need.

I’d rather have Wood than Turner
Yeh, that's close, Turner younger and blocks a lot more shots but Woods had his best years both defensively and offensively as a PF with Detroit, so maybe he could co-exist with Nurk? Shoots threes better also. He might be more expensive but i would be willing to add a FRP to the deal to Houston.

No thanks. We need to trade for a big. We don't need another guard. Blazers aren't trading Simons. He is their new poster boy (which is foolish), likely Lillard's successor here when he retires or I hate to say it is traded down the line.

Simons feels a lot like that story line in the NBA2k games...I got next. Coming into the league as an underated player, playing his way up, becoming a starter, and perhaps star player. Basketball Gods help us all.
