Hmmm I wonder if we're interested in Holmes. Early in the season, he was playing like an All Star.

Calm before another Trade Joe storm?

Not much left. Either....

  1. Another small cap-space move
  2. Trade involving Nurkic
  3. Waiting to help facilitate a multi-team deal

I think Joe would like to get into option #3, but he doesn't have control over that, and just has to be ready to jump in quickly.

Jeram Grant? Bledsoe?

You don't think there's any chance of using the Bledsoe contract in a deadline deal for a legitimate player?

It's certainly possible, but as of now, Detroit wants a lot more than just Bled's contract. Seems like the Blazers want to hold onto the New Orleans' Lottery pick for something else, and don't really have enough other pieces to get a deal for Grant done.

Unless they want a baked potato for Jerami, the pistons are gonna end up saving Cronin from himself on that deal

I think the 'effort' was made to let Dame know they were giving it a shot, but when it became fairly obvious that wasn't going to work for now, it was put on the back burner. Unless Detroit just wants cap space, there are much better deals they can make from an assets standpoint then what the Blazers can provide them....unless you move Nurk.

If there was a tax team with a huge crappy expiring contract it would be a good match for us in a Bledsoe trade. We take on salary now providing tax relief and they take on $4 million of next years cap.

Yeah that makes sense. There is no reason for Detroit to dump Grant for a small return now, and I wouldn't want the Blazers to give up a pick or other good asset to get him now either.

Dunno if Grant necessarily has to be the play. Would the Pels pick be enough to land Christian Wood? How about Harrison Barnes? Are the Knicks or Hawks still possibly interested in moving off Randle or Collins? Is Davis Bertans salvageable?

I have to imagine there are ways to convert that partially NGC into something that can contribute after Dame's return.

IMO Toronto could really use a good backup PG, trade Dragic straight across and they can keep him next yr or not, maybe we get a 2nd back or maybe not - either way we chop off another 3.9 mil

Harden is an absolute ass. Was a baby and forced his way out of Houston to Brooklyn and now is pulling the same shit with them to force his way to Philly.

And there is 100% tampering going on with Morey

What a joke

It might be, but those players mess with the cap space play. (unbalanced trades, not FA'cy) IF they were to do something like that, it would be later this summer from the impression I get.

Blevins ....
