doesn't seem logical.

- No team is going to give Nurk the max even if he wants it.
- Why would he want out when Dame is bought in? He's not gonna find a better P&R partner than Dame.
- Not legal.
- Highly unlikely given his upcoming UFA.

Every move we have made so far is in line with us retaining him this summer and using his caphold during FA. There are no C replacements waiting for us after Indy signaled that they're keeping Turner. Doubt we can land any better than Nurk in FA.

When has that ever stopped an NBA team from trying something? If Nurk wants to go hang out in Canada for a couple months to gain us some assets and then come back here in FA, I'd have no issue with it.

Was my thought too but I didn't want to derail things. These conversations 100% happen. Doesn't always work out, but I certainly wouldn't put it past a guy who's in the midst of his one shot at trying something like that...

Even if the Nurk side of things never happened, perhaps Dame convinced Cronin that his relationship is tight enough w/ Nurk that he could bring him back... There's plenty of permutations where that's not implausible...

hockeyy insiderr tweeted that nurk is about to get traded to the raps, then raps fan page acount on twitter tweets jusuf nurkic, so either the person running that fan account saw the tweet from hockeyy insiderr, or maybe he has inside info or its just wishul thikning... well know soon enough

Didi Louzada posted a pic where he and his girl got flowers and a welcome note from Joe and Chauncey, presumably at their hotel.

I want to rip Abbott on this but for some reason this smells like there might be a little truth to it cause I could see both sides being gun shy about a Dame exit. I mean maybe not right NOW but I do think both sides are not sure how to break up with the other one cause I think Dame loves Portland BUT i think he wants a real crack at a ring.

I will say while good chance this is complete BS the idea Dame wants out after next season is looking kind of likely unless the Blazers plan that Cronin seems to be executing strikes gold then the above statement rings true.
 
Fischer boy says Bledsoe is still a candidate to be traded before the deadline.

He also mentioned the Gordon trade when talking about Grant. Said maybe a first and a young player could work (Orlando got a first and Hampton)

Bledsoe, Keon, and a first? Not sure I’d do it, but just throwing it out

This is what will happen. Either Cronin has some master plan that he'll pull off in the summer to put a team around Dame that can win more consistently than any other team Dame has had or this plan will yield very little help for Dame, bad contracts and Dame will ask out well before next trade deadline to give the team enough time to get him to a good team and get the team fair value.
