I don't know if this twitter account has any sources but I would be incredibly stoked to have Simmons on the team by the end of the week.
he says talks with us are heating up. im skeptical about this one. seems like he's a philly guy.

no way in hell i put ant in that.

and let's think this through. they aren't going to want Maxey/Curry/Ant/CJ as their backcourt. way too much duplication all over and everyone < 6'3

If that was the deal there would have to be followup deals from us but I wouldn't be angry... sad to see Ant go but Simmons is an all nba level player to pair with Dame, while neither Ant or CJ pair well with Dame.
I would be okay with it as well but ugh if we are losing Ant as well we need to tank the season for sure. Dame is injured. Nas isn’t actually good enough to be a contributor on a contender. You have to just have Ben around the team and learn how he’s going to be utilized on offense.
Norm doesn’t fit with the team. With Ben, I don’t see Nurk fitting either. I think Covington fits with Simmons better than Nance (I’d consider trading Nance if we got Covington’s word he will re-sign) but I would trade one of the two.
And now just focus the rest of the season featuring Little on offense and see if we can work out an extension this summer. At least now we would be okay to expand our draft board and also look at guards at the top of the draft.

I would love to find a way to get Brown from the Celtics and Simmons from the Sixers. If you can somehow add those two players without giving up Dame, you have a big three that can contend.

Extremely torn about the idea to trade Ant for Simmons. Ant is our future, from now on i will call him Baby Dame, he reminds me a lot of him, and now we could trade him for a guy who is completely unplayable in the Playoffs and hasnt done shit in the Postseason. Bro i'm Extremely unsure about this

After what Ant is playing, the idea of having him might be tempting for Sixers fans, but adding two more guards doesn't make much sense for Morey, so this trade looks unlikely.
I really hope Cronin won't give them Ant instead of CJ, but if Lillard is loyal to his friends, that's what can happen.

You mean something like Powell, Baby Dame and RoCo for Simmons?

I don't like the idea of parting with RoCo. This kind of players don't grow on trees.
I don't see Morey takin two guards.

What I am afraid of is CJ really don't want to move from Oregon.

This is a business, CJ is going to have to move from Oregon if we have a GM with a brain in his head. No matter how much CJ likes it here and no matter how much him and Dame love each other.

It was quite opposite so far.

I think even Morey would prefer to remove the Philly 1st and Simons from this deal lol

They have no reason to give up a 1st just to have Ant, CJ,Curry and Maxey as a backcourt. Especially with Ant a RFA over summer.
And from our perspective makes no sense to give up Ant for a late 1st

Btw i would love to give Paul Reed a chance. Dude has monster numbers when playing in G League.

Don't know anything about 'Vin Thee Insider', and maybe he has sources, but the details of that seem shaky. Morey goes from throwing out CJ +3 1sts + 3 swaps, to including a 1st with Simons just because we included Ant?

If that is really the case, you have to at least consider it even though it would hurt to lose Ant. I just don't see how he and Dame fit together. They seem quite similar except Ant is almost 10 years younger. Would much rather keep Ant and they could keep the 1st, but I doubt the validity of those details to begin with.

.....and this was an updated tweet after the one that included the details. Then an hour later, he says 'talks are picking up steam'.

Anf is our most valuable trade asset and he can't be included in two deals, so I don't see how that could happen.

.
Maybe he will routing one of them to a third team?

With Turner's foot injury and Sabonis out now with a serious ankle sprain that may take Indy out of the "big"" trade mkt, perhaps makes Nurk a bigger target for teams looking for a C?

If it's a three way deal with Indiana I'm thinking maybe CJ goes to Indiana. Who does Philly want from Indiana? Seems like Turner would have to go to balance salaries. A real PG in McConnel? or expiring deals? Seems like Philly is short on SF's. Would they want Torrey Craig or Warren, who is finally healthy?

or one more where Philly focuses on clearing cap, no turner.

I think it's too early for Philly to trade Ben. I see them waiting closer to deadline. Saying that, if Sacramento is really out of the running then I can see a deal for CJ. Ant would not be included in any deal. Ben doesn't have that value right now. CJ, Roco/Nance and change.
