I don't understand how people can say "we didn't get enough back in the Powell/Covington deal", but then also say "I don't want to trade Bledsoe for a player who might actually have value to this team". These feel like contradictory positions to me.

who said that?

People are asking to trade Bledsoe for anything, but if it doesn’t happen I think people would understand. It’s not remotely similar to the RoCo Powell deal.

As of now, they don't want to be hampered with the size/length of his contract. So, very unlikely.
I'm sorry, this is just stupid (the FO position, not you). Do they honestly think they're going to procure a player better than Randle using the mythical cap space?

I think we should move Bledsoe for a player that might actually have value to this team. Otherwise that Norm/Roco deal doesn't look any better than horrendous.

I think you can feel both. We got precious little in terms of Draft picks or young/cheap assets. Trading Bledsoe for someone who might help is certainly on the table if one is available that fits the criteria with the rest of the rebuild.

We really need another veteran guard so I think there is more to come.

Webster is betting that dropping from ~22nd to ~31st in the draft won't hurt, and in exchange we get Eubanks who I know nothing about.

I dunno.

It's an order of operations issue. They could still make a move for Randle with cap space or the TPE later this summer, but don't want to take on his contract now that will inhibit other conversation before hand.

Can someone please save Boucher?

Dude is buried on that Toronto team. He produces every time he gets minutes. Needs to go to a team that needs a C.

He's a UFA this summer, right? Surely he'll be interested in returning to Oregon.

Kinda figured this as well. No need to use the TPE now. Neither Grant or Randle or whoever will move the needle this season. May actually make things worse. Those deals will be available at the draft if we want to do them as long as they aren’t dealt elsewhere today.

Assuming, of course, those players aren't dealt elsewhere prior, and we miss out on the opportunity to deal for them because we held out for something better.

Yeah that was the caveat. But I doubt Randle is moved today. Maybe grant.

Yeah, we don't want anyone too good as it could hurt the tank, unless of course it's too good to turn down (unlikely)

...which is what he put in his post at the end.

Very true.

he was a top 20 player in the Fantasy last year, but Nick Nurse has totally F-ed him over.
Boucher and Achiuwa are both getting about 20mpg and with the addition of Young and Eubanks we are now very crowded up front and very much in need of a guard.

That is why if 'somehow' you could get Simmons, you just let him train/rehab the rest of the year, get your pick, then bring back Dame/Simmons/Ant/Nas/Hart/Winslow/etc to other pieces you can acquire and still get your good Lottery pick.

there's like 18 guys who are 6'9 on that roster. and a lot of overlap in skills.
