Two decent games out of 21?

Anyone else notice his über soft layup that he missed?

Remember Hedo Turkoglu in Toronto? That's Batum right now.
 
Pathetic game by batum today. He needs to figure out whatever is ailing him, if he can't I'd like to see some of his minutes go to an increasingly confident crabbe.
 
Time to bench Batum.

Shooting out of this slump is clearly not going to help.

Take off the rose colored glasses fellas. Batum has played like crap. Sure we have a fine record, but we need batum to pick it up if we want to be contenders.

I think he really has to stop playing for team France.

They don't pay him, the Blazers do. He starts off slow and fades late. When the Rockets made their push in game 6 Batum disappeared.
 
Between Wes and Nic on who should stay it's Wes and it's not even close.
 
I'm a bit biased against players like Batum and LA because I grew up watching Terry, Clyde, Jerome and Buck. I like players that get after it. Batum's body language is that of a guy who is playing in a church league on a Sunday afternoon.

There is no beating around the bush, Batum has been god awful. It wont stay this way but man its hard to watch.
He has lost confidence and might still be injured but regardless he needs to get himself back to looking like a swiss army knife instead of a rusty spoon.

I mentioned this in the nba thread above. But I think and I know they won't. They will continue to let this simmer. But they need to address the problem I see with the two and three position. And I think the problem is Nic. The organization needs him to wake up and grow up and quit playing soft, like a little kid and play like a man. This team isn't going anywhere as it is.

And if the excuse is that he is in fact tired. To me there is no excuse for that. French Basketball should be put to the side. He has a responsibility to his contract. Blazers and the teams success I would think should come first. His stat is not good right now.

When he has to give 5 million over three years? Maybe his agent and accountants and hanger on are all sucking him dry?

It's about 31% of his monthly check... if he's got a nice house he's still paying off, and 30 people sucking down his cash, it could be tough.

Bro don't get me wrong... I went through a terrible divorce and I was giving out a ton of money in Alimony and Child support (still forking $4k in child support a month), but it's hard to get behind if you stick with it.

The accountants, alimony and agent expense are all tax deductible. That just means less tax is taken from his salary.
