Blazers vs. San Antonio 11/25/1990 “The Perfect Quarter”

Portland TrailBlazers vs. San Antonio Spurs November 25th, 1990. What is remembered in Portland as “The Perfect Quarter”, the Blazers open their 11th straight win of the 1990-91 season with a 49-18 first quarter against the Spurs, shooting 22 of 25 from the field. From the Blazers’

And we barely won that game if I remember.

Nevermind!Maybe it was that one game against the Spurs in the late 90's I was thinking about......

Bad ass! I'm saving that on my DVR. I'll tune in every week if they keep playing retro games.

Lucky dog! ^^^ That's the way the game's meant to be played! Watched the replay last night. Cool Quotes:

David "The Admiral" Robinson:

That's the best first quarter I've ever seen. I mean come on? Have you seen a better first quarter than that? That was phenomenal.
Larry Brown:

They were Terrific. They would have beaten the All-Decade team tonight. They were as good in that 12 minutes as any team I've ever seen play this game.
The current Roster of Blazers has shown the ability to dominate Quarters just like that 91 team. The few times we've played at that similar pace we've crushed teams... but as Nate's teams go, we slow down, lose the edge, and the other team comes back. I hope Nate is taking a good hard look at the great Blazers team of the MC era. Even though the game has changed, there's a lot to learn from them..

How sensational was Drexler during that quarter? Blocking shots every where, shooting from all distances and the passing..good Lord! One of the most underrated passers..ever. The behind-the-back to Buck then the no-look to Kersey trailing for the slam!

That was fun to watch.

The thing that really sticks out as a difference between that team and our current team is that all 5 of the starters were absolutely tenacious. They were everywhere. It was like having 5 Gerald Wallaces as the starters.

I swear I had that exact same thought while I was watching it. That was amazing. It's a shame I wasn't around in 1990 to see that team.

You are such a chump! I was watching that at my girlfriends house. Got a hand job during the last 5 minutes!

See why I harp on getting rid of McMillan? There isn't a better coach available?? Wrong. There isn't a worse one available, once a team reaches .500. He's a good underdog coach, but we're beyond that.

^ I had to read that 3 times...... finally got it! Well played FAMS!!!
