Wow, found this shared on reddit, thought I'd share it here too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND watching this! Still going through it, but I'm really liking this kid so far, amazing story. Looking forward to having him very much! A real hard worker you can tell. Man I graduated from Purdue literally one year before he joined, but glad he's a blazer now!

Maybe Olshey knew what he was doing when he drafted these two kids. Both of them seem to have that 'it' factor.

Good hustle, heart, high BBIQ it's like heaving a couple of bigs with Wes Mathew's heart.

I'm all in.:smiley-beerchug:

Yeah. Love these two picks but for different reasons. Collins is a local college product whom everybody is going to compare to Beibs. Swanigan had to fight for everything he was given. They should both come out with chips on their shoulders.

Roosevelt Barnes is a fine, fine human being....I'm thrilled we get to be this chapter in this kid's life and shoutout to Neil for seeing it ....character of this team just got real in a big way...Will Barton real...

Zach and Beibs are worlds apart.

Zach has beat Myle out of his spot and he hasn't stepped on the floor yet. No Kidding.

Love Caleb's story and grit. Watch out for this kid.

He's coming to the perfect team to perfect his game....gym rats, mature mentors and a player's coach who will teach him without a lot of drama....recipe for success! Now I'm going to go watch Hoosiers for the 50th time! I love basketball!

Thanks for sharing that. I'm also a Purdue grad (Boiler Up!) and remember when Roosevelt Barnes played for them.

Love this kid and love this pick. He will be a fan favorite here. This city loves the Blazers and loves players who work hard. It's a great fit for him and the team.

From one former Boilermaker to another, welcome to Portland Biggie. You're going to love it here.

Some will call me a clueless homer for posting this, but I don't really care what the negative nancies think.

There have been three windows of contention in franchise history:

1977-78
1990-92
1999-2000

Those were the three time periods when we made it at least as far as the WCF.

One common denominator of all three of those teams was a hard working, physical power forward who would not back down from anyone. First it was Luke, then Buck and then BGrant.

It get that hard working, won't back down vibe from this kid.

Here's hoping he will be the physical presence at the 4 spot during our 4th window of contention.

Age wise, our bigs (Nurk, Collins and Swanigan) extend our window - hopefully until the Warriors are on their way down.

I still think we need to find a better 2-way SF before we can contend, but Neil has done a good job addressing our weakness up front. Something tells me with Nurk and Swanigan, we are no longer going to be the team getting pushed around under the basket. I think we will be the ones pushing others around. And, though he's thinner than Nurkic and Swanigan, Collins also plays hard and aggressively and doesn't shy away from physical contact. No more snowflakes!

Remember when we used to say Repped!?! :) Stellar post, cluefull homer.

Toughness, that's what Neil mentioned he went after in this draft and it's exactly what the Doctor Jack ordered!

Guys a junkyard dog, true winner, stoked for him.

Would the real ZBO 2.0 please stand up. #50
