That was kind of an ugly game, for both teams. It showed that Oregon wasn't really going to go to the playoffs, so to get mad at the Beavers for depriving the Pac 12 of a representative in the playoffs is stupid. Oregon barely beat their opponents this year and played like ass for chunks of this game.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the Ducks have been playing with fire with their defense. It's been really bad this year, and was worse tonight. After last season Duck fans were worried that the DC Andy Avalos would only be around for two seasons. Now, they are worried that he'll be around for 3 seasons

Joey Harrington threw 5 interceptions against OSU as a Junior in his 21st start. QB's have bad games. Even Mariotta and Herbert had bad games, and yeah, is was game(s) plural. Shough made some good passes but this was his worst game so far and it wan't enough to overcome the Duck D giving up 532 yards and only forcing 2 punts

congrats to the beevers....they did just enough and made the plays on both sides of the ball when they needed to

The Ducks should claim fraud.

Great! I'm gonna party like its the end of the world

We are back to being competitive! Jonathan Smith has done wonders to have us here in year 3 - Anderson had left such a mess I wasn't sure we could get out for a while.

Smith is a nice coach. But have ‘us here’ in year 3? What’s here? Upsetting the Ducks? I mean aren’t they still 2 and 2 on the year? I guess it’s all relevant to what I suppose

Yes, an upset over a top 10 teams is 'here'. We couldn't win a single conference game prior to Smith getting here - and only got 1 his first year. By no means have we arrived as some newfound powerhouse - but we are back to being a legitimate PAC-12 program again - one that we can tune in to watch each week knowing that we *could* win the football game. I don't think you can appreciate how bad of shape this program was in by 2017. The roster was a disaster. Anyone who sat through that at Reser deserves a god damn medal.

I mean, i won't turn down a medal if you want to give me one

The Beavs deserved the win tonight, but having watched all 4 Oregon games, they are not a top 10 team.

I think Smith will get the Beavs back to where Riley had them: Making more bowls than they miss, sneaking a couple 9-10 win seasons in, and then have a handful of clunker seasons. He'll never get fired or get a better job, and therefore be in Corvallis for a long time.

Who should be the rudy Giuliani of the ducks fraud case?

Should be 3-1. I'm betting they win a few more and make a bowl if there actually is one to make?

well normally the criteria is winning 6 games which is a .500 record. But that only means a team is bowl eligible, not that a bowl will select them.

the Beavs have had 3 of their 4 games 'at home' so that's been an advantage for them. But their last two games are @Utah and @Stanford. Certainly, both games are winnable, neither opponent is that good this year but both of those teams have been slammed by Covid absences and appear to be getting more players healthy. And the Beavs can't count on both opponents cooperating as well as the Ducks did last night

I doubt a 3-3 Pac-12 team will get a bowl invite, especially since the rumors are several regular bowl games may just cancel their bowls this year. It's too big a financial risk for many; and what makes it riskier is the possibility of a last minute cancellation by a team because of a Covid outbreak. A 3-3 Pac-12 team would probably be competing with several 5-5 and 6-6 teams. Now maybe, some teams will refuse an invite. Going to a bowl game is expensive and without full ticket sales, the ledger could be too far into the red

a 4-2 Beavs team? maybe yeah, they could get a bowl game.

2020 seems like such a lost cause in so many ways. Bowl games may be one of those lost causes

Being a Beaver Alum this game was fun to watch.

I'm a duck fan and the game was fun to watch. I enjoy competitive games. The recent blowouts were boring to watch. And the Ducks losing isn't the end of the world. They weren't going to do anything this year anyways with half the starters on defense sitting out the season and our entire offensive line leaving too.

if the Ducks win their 2 remaining games, they will play in the Pac-12 championship game. And then a bowl game. So they do have a lot to play for: winning a 2nd straight conference title and a bowl game while finishing the season 7-1

that's a real tall order considering their holes on defense and a completely rebuilt OLine, but it is a worthy goal

I know with Cristobal are lines have gotten bigger, but our defensive line last night seemed very slow more so than the previous games. Maybe they ate to much the day before!

the DLine is getting almost no penetration. This season they are averaging 1 sack and 4 tackles for loss, Last season, they averaged 3 sacks and 8 tackles for loss. More importantly is that they consistently collapsed the pocket last season and got steady pressure on opposing QB's. this season, nada

now, they have been battling Covid issues. But while everybody was focused on their losses in the secondary, the Ducks may have lost a lot more on the DLine. Gone are Gus Cumberlander, Gary Baker, Drayton Carlberg, Bryson Young, and Sione Kava. And Troy Dye was an excellent blitzing LB; and Jevon Holland and Brady Breeze were good blitzing safeties

a team really needs to have strong upper-classmen on the DLine. Ducks are lacking. Meanwhile, all the young LB's and safeties are having lots of trouble filling the right gaps

Growth year. Size is one thing. Age and experience are another.
