Why is this a zombie thread, when it was started yesterday? Is this one of those modern, re-imagined zombies that doesn't need to die first?

I use to call them all tennis shoes or maybe jogging shoes. All of mine have been name brand but I got all of those at big discounts. I think I paid $5 each for my several pairs of Avias. I've gotten discounts through my wife's workplace and through the Trailblazers. The last time I paid full price for sports shoes was when I bought my track shoes and my wrestling shoes back in high school.

Not at my address. We treat everyone the same. We are partial to those who are polite.
We had maybe a dozen Hispanics remodel our last house and we always gave them a bottle of cold water or a soft drink. We've tried giving them coffee but they didn't want it. And we nearly always either fix them a hot lunch or give them money to go to a restaurant for lunch. Treat people right and they do a great job for you. There was one exception where a workman stole from us after we treated him right but he was Caucasian. I grew up in Oswego and lived in Lake Oswego after graduating from college.

I've never liked discrimination and maybe that's because I was discriminated against because my family was on the ragged edge of being poor. I remember times when we had nothing to eat for dinner except corn bread and milk. I never really noticed the discrimination except at school. Still, I had my friends one of whom was filthy rich. Also, when swimming in the public pool everybody looked the same and there was no discernible discrimination. I'll say this, when I was a small boy the only minorities we had were Germans, Italians and Catholics. Today, I see only a very few minorities but I've seen no discrimination based on that. My wife is Asian and she's treated very well everywhere we go with people opening doors for her, giving her smiles and calling her mam.

I've been thinking of picking up some property in Hawaii...never seen it so cheap after the volcano and now the virus devastating the tourist industry....thinking about winter farming there and fishing ..snowbird between here and there....that or New Zealand helping my aunt out there

They already have...my son was born there...half Taiwanese...has a Hawaiian god father and god mother....I know more locals than most haoles ever meet over there....no problem..they can smell the LA on you mainlanders though....I've spent a lot of my life on islands

I'd like to thank Russia and Saudi Arabia for having perfect timing with their oil war

now, if the BLM would just open up their campgrounds in Eastern Oregon, I could load up the RV and take advantage of the cheap gas. Driving 4 miles to the store once a week doesn't cut it
