Good luck Dame. Hope you finish your career here coming off the bench when we win a title with Scoot and Sharpe

Honestly, I'm in shock and sad. I realized on Draft night this was coming, but I'm still trying not to get too sad. Oh man, I think of all those clutch shots, 0.7 and the "rip citttaaayyyy!!!!" that followed, the step back over Paul George, the "Best statistical playoff game of all time" against Denver in game 5. So many memories. Lillard Legend, I'm actually in favor of retiring the Letter O.

Now the question is, do I go with the team and trade him to Brooklyn for 5,000,000 picks (yes) or do I trade him to Miami so he can wing a ring because I love Lillard? At this point, we are parting ways, welcome to Brooklyn Lillard.

Thank you Dame for the fun years! Wish you and your family well.
Hope to run into you again on the Willamette this summer.
I think you would fit well in San Antonio......

Please merge with Lame Illard thread (or whatever it's called)

Sheed was my favorite Blazer until Dame came along and what a ride it has been with him leading the team. Has brought us some great moments through the years did the man from little old Weber State lol. Sucks he is going, but he will always be a part of the red and black and I do wish him the best, until he faces us of course lol.

I know some may dislike him for requesting a trade, but tbh, I do not blame him. He wants that ring, and that was not gonna happen in Portland anytime soon without totally ripping up the team.

Whoever he lands with, I know he will do great for them.

As for the Blazers, we move on and look forward to looking at our young guys grow.

Scoot, its your team now.

Damian is such an amazing gifted NBA player. It became so normal for us watching Lillard rip opponents to shreds. It's going to surprise many Blazer fans seeing how good a happy Dame plays while he's busting up the league with a franchise geared towards winning.

A big part of me died today. It's an absolute nightmare. I have grown to love you , not only as a player, but as an extended part of my family. You are "rip city".

I will be forever grateful for all the fantastic moments. When the odds against the team winning looked insurmountable, you showed us otherwise. Game after game after game , you came through.

I only wish this ending could turn out different. With you bringing home the trophy , with late game heroics , for Portland. But I understand. You will always be the ONE.

Thank You from the bottom of my heart. I Love You Man. May God Bless you in your endeavors. Kenny from Vancouver.

@SlyPokerDog ??? Premature?
He hasn't been traded yet? Mayne this is a Black Mamba Ruse to give Joe one last ditch effort?

(Im still in partial denial, so there’s that.)

How is this thread only 2 pages long?

Thank you Dame for some seriously amazing moments! I appreciate all you have done for the Blazers community! Hopefully you come back and retire as a Blazer!

He hasn't been traded yet but I hope he's happy wherever he goes when that happens.

sheed still my favorite blazer. Real as they come. He signed my e-40 cd. Used to see him at Wilsonville BK on lunch break all the time. Talked some shit to us. But he was always chill as shit.

I'm still waiting for an actual statement from Lillard explaining his decision after all the passive aggressive BS of the past year or two. I sincerely believe he owes the fans that at a bare minimum. Prolly just me, but the fact he appears to be laying low is very telling. I'm struggling to maintain my respect for the man for the way he has handled all this....and continues to "handle" it..... And I think he owes guys like Durant (and the other ring chasers he's publicly dissed over the years) a very public apology.

completely agree! the timing and way he's handled this is a chump move in my view.

The idea that Dame suffered and sacrificed for 11 years for this team is BS....he was given the keys to the team as a rookie, pampered, paid a half billion dollars, beloved by the city and empowered by the organization....feeling sorry for Dame is misplaced affection. Signing a super max and taking the bag out of town is not what the man has proclaimed to be made of. I enjoyed his era here but not the ugly exit. Maybe he's right and this will get him a ring and make him happy...it sure bummed out Blazer nation. Me included.

I gotta say Riverman you are surprising me in the sense (and in a good way from my perspective) I thought you'd be a staunch defender of Dame almost no matter what - my bad and I agree with you.
