He hasn’t been traded yet.How is this thread only 2 pages long?
Thank you Dame for some seriously amazing moments! I appreciate all you have done for the Blazers community! Hopefully you come back and retire as a Blazer!
Sheed was my favorite Blazer until Dame came along and what a ride it has been with him leading the team. Has brought us some great moments through the years did the man from little old Weber State lol. Sucks he is going, but he will always be a part of the red and black and I do wish him the best, until he faces us of course lol.
I know some may dislike him for requesting a trade, but tbh, I do not blame him. He wants that ring, and that was not gonna happen in Portland anytime soon without totally ripping up the team.
Whoever he lands with, I know he will do great for them.
As for the Blazers, we move on and look forward to looking at our young guys grow.
Scoot, its your team now.
completely agree! the timing and way he's handled this is a chump move in my view.I'm still waiting for an actual statement from Lillard explaining his decision after all the passive aggressive BS of the past year or two. I sincerely believe he owes the fans that at a bare minimum. Prolly just me, but the fact he appears to be laying low is very telling. I'm struggling to maintain my respect for the man for the way he has handled all this....and continues to "handle" it..... And I think he owes guys like Durant (and the other ring chasers he's publicly dissed over the years) a very public apology.
I gotta say Riverman you are surprising me in the sense (and in a good way from my perspective) I thought you'd be a staunch defender of Dame almost no matter what - my bad and I agree with you.The idea that Dame suffered and sacrificed for 11 years for this team is BS....he was given the keys to the team as a rookie, pampered, paid a half billion dollars, beloved by the city and empowered by the organization....feeling sorry for Dame is misplaced affection. Signing a super max and taking the bag out of town is not what the man has proclaimed to be made of. I enjoyed his era here but not the ugly exit.
