I haven't fact checked either crazy recent immigration story, but I would've brought up the gang in Colorado walking around apartment complexes with guns on camera before doing the Haitian cookout at PetCo gimmick. Like if I had to make a safer bet on which one will sound believable to the average person...

I think some of this falls on the Harris strategy to just let Trump ramble the night away. It's understandable given the circumstances, but in doing that you let Trump naturally drive the conversation.

It’s obvious that Trump’s pre debate lobbying about how unfair ABC is, how they won’t give him a fair shake, yada, yada, yada has paid off in spades. They definitely gave him more consideration than Harris. But then, he used it to make himself look even more like the old drunken uncle at the holidays.
