Acquiring Brook Lopez and his $20 mil salary would be Enes Kanter horrible.

Wow his new team might have a better record then his old one

I hope they trade for someone worth a chunk of change to meet the salary cap cause these players don't deserve the extra money.

Didn't he just sign a new big contact this off-season? I don't want to be locked into that money for 3 years. I understand he is good but if he doesn't push us to the playoffs (and it wouldn't imo) then not a big reason to do the deal. We would be better off going for a top 3 pick.

Fuck that.

I'll take a 5% chance at Ben Simmons over 100% chance that this team never sniffs a title with Brook Shi . . . Lopez as its linchpin.
Yup. Would rather find a way to trade for another 1st rounder using Kaman/Henderson/Meyers so we could go get Sabonis and Simmons.

We (wisely) refused to over-pay the healthy member of the Lopez family. Let's leave it at that.

If Brook was ever 100% healthy, he might actually earn that contract he has. His history suggests that will never happen.

I like the idea of ANY kind of scoring and rebounding. Adding him wouldn't changing the tank trajectory much either.

Which picks are we using to obtain the robot feet required to keep him healthy?

Honestly though we would still have good cap space I'd we made this move. And if it really only cost us Kaman and some future picks then I think it could be a steal. He's one of the better centers in the league. His health is the only concern but that might be behind him.

We also desperately need somebody who can score in the post. Once we get that you will see things really open up for guys like dame/CJ/Aminu.

What assets get you there? We can't (and shouldn't) trade this year's first rounder because it's conditionally Denver's, and who do we have that Brooklyn wants?

Brook is a very good player, I think it would make us better, even though we already have a deep, versatile, big men rotation.

We don't have anyone who can consistently garner a double team in the post.

If it's really a Dec 15th type of trade it means one of the players involved is someone on a new contract
