What I would like to see us how Crabbe played with Dame versus how he played with CJ.... And then compare that to how Dame/CJ have played together of late. (which we already have)
I don't think Crabbe has started with Dame, has he? I'm not sure how I would quantify the stats because that's something that they used to do on 82games.com
Very rarely. Better stated, 'how each plays together versus the other'.
That Clipper game, a few weeks back. #activelineupgateI don't think Crabbe has started with Dame, has he? I'm not sure how I would quantify the stats because that's something that they used to do on 82games.com
We can look for pictures all day. Here's a different visual comparison

No matter how you look at it, they are still a top backcourt in today's NBA in terms of scoring the ball.
I'm not sure they have to be our future backcourt, but i think you can at least try to make it work if you can put good defensive C-PF-SF tandem around them. You can't start Meyers or any other weak defensive player with CJ and Dame on the floor.
Remember when OKC was just starting with Durant and Westbrook and some people were pushing for the Thunder to make a Russel\Rondo trade so their team will be more balanced? how ridicules does that sound now?
I heard CJ saying that you can't judge his play with Lillard just yet, simply because there isn't enough body of work to judge yet and i tend to agree with him.
While Dame was out, CJ averaged 26 ppg, 60-136 (44%), 16-40 (40%) from three, 6.5 assists, 5.5 rebounds, 1 steal at the starting point guard spot
But over the last five games (he has played six games since Dame returned) he is averaging 16 ppg, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, and he's shooting 33% from the field and 31% from three.
What if CJ should be playing point guard? It really seems like Dame and CJ are eerily similar players, and having both could be holding back one or both.
Also a shot of CJ standing on Harden's head, but looking at pictures on my day off works for me..notice the towel draped on CJs shoulders covering up his shoulder padsWe can look for pictures all day.

Top of CJ's shoulder is at Dame's chin in the above picture.

As stated by BBert, don't even look at were their heads stand. See how higher CJ's shoulders are off the ground than Dame's in the photos.
Harden's head sure gets around! Also a shot of CJ standing on Harden's head, but looking at pictures on my day off works for me..notice the towel draped on CJs shoulders covering up his shoulder pads
Again, what makes you think other teams that are rebuilding (or will be in the rebuilding mode) want Rudy Gay when we just say HELL NO?Who loses this obviously-never-going-to-happen 12-player-trade?
Kings replace Cousins/Gay/McLemore with Young/Aminu/McCollum.
Nets replace Lopez/Young/Jefferson with Leonard/Vonleh/Gay/Henderson
Blazers new lineup is Dame/Crabbe/Jefferson/Cousins/Lopez with Frazier/McLemore/Harkless/Davis/Plumlee on the bench

Not to suggest that what I'm about to say is the prescription, but I'd throw away a "top 3 backcourt" if it got me to a "top 3 team."It's just the beginning of the road for these two together and maybe Stotts is not the right guy to make it work.
I'm not going to judge this whole thing as long as we don't have any meaningful inside presence on offense.
Sometimes Wade looked like ass alongside Lebron and god knows we've seen Kobe chuck his way into 30% evenings, i agree with all of the above , but it's still way to early to throw away a potential top 3 backcourt.
Paul George or bust! He's someone I'd trade CJ for
What big men are their that are good rim protectors that are also stretch/low post scorers?
Stretch:
Ibaka
Low Post Scorers:
Marc Gasol
Both:
Anthony Davis
There has to be more. My point is is that if we get a good rim protector to cover up our defensive deficiencies while creating space on offense, than CJ and Dame fit perfectly.
I'd have to think
Dame/CJ/3-and-D SF/Ibaka/Gasol would be a top 3 team offensively and top 8 or so defensively. Not that those guys are easily acquirable, but just to show what type of players we should put around Dame and CJ.
He's a guy who needs a change of scenery...I thought he'd be a good target, but Indy is doing pretty good this season. I don't think they'll trade him, although he's in a slump right now.
Jimmy would b THE ultimate!CJ is legit...he's building a brand, high character and his value has never been higher..it has to be a slam dunk to trade him now and to me, Paul George, Anthony Davis, Jimmy Butler...those are no brainers. Needle movers. We have role players galore but 20pt shooters who can defend aren't easy to find.
Jimmy would solve a LOT of our problems; I'd take Jimmy over George aaaaallllll day long! However, I wouldn't b sad IF PG came here
Only problem is that I don't think Chi. would trade him; next season there's a strong chance he might b 1 of the only good things left in Chi. w/ Gasol being old/saying he might not come back, some of their once best guys getting older/often injured & maybe even traded this yr., etc. so I see the Bulls building around him. ONLY way I see Jimmy even possibly coming here would b if he requested a trade & even then I doubt Chi. does it.
Whats the source? I havent seen those yet.New rumors out of Philly and Boston that they are inquiring about CJ.
I don't think Jimmy likes his coach..that's an opening..Chicago needs to blow it up and rebuild.Jimmy would b THE ultimate!Jimmy would solve a LOT of our problems; I'd take Jimmy over George aaaaallllll day long! However, I wouldn't b sad IF PG came here

Oooohhhh how sweet it would be to have 1 of my fav. players join us; Marquette guys r kind of awesome!

True, they r not the best of friends...I don't think Jimmy likes his coach..that's an opening..Chicago needs to blow it up and rebuild.
I would LOVE it IF they did!
If Bos. is involved... I'm pretty sure Turner & Hunter (& possibly Zeller) would b in play; thing is though, for us, I'd only b interested in Marcus Smart/Jae Crowder (doubt that Bos. would deal either of those guys but... IF they were... CJ... it was nice knowin' ya & good luck man!New rumors out of Philly and Boston that they are inquiring about CJ.
