I watched that and I kept thinking I must be missing some critical context that wasn't in the video.....?

but what I saw, was some spokesman for the sheriff's department in the first case saying things like "staging gas cans" and "looting" and "antifa starting fires" as something circumstantial but solid. But when he had to clarify any of those claims...they ended up as just rumors backed by little evidence

in other words, he was an alarmist using rumors to justify granting more power to the sheriff. But he had nothing solid to back up that request. Yet, one of the commissioners wanted to call out the national guard based on rumors?

as I said....there had to be more to it than that....right?

Our campground and the wedding venue were evacuated. Got a last minute reservation at Lake Billy Chinook and had a peaceful but smoky 5 days. My sister was evacuated and has a fire 1/2 mile from her house near Mulino.

...this is the same tragic game plan thats been happening for the past 4+ years now and its doing nothing more than tearing this country apart. The online bots, fake accounts, international interference, and spin masters take every event and instantly manipulate and manufacture the "facts" to fit their devisive narratives. It's fucking sad -- so many people are brainwashed with these false realities and it feels like there is no hope for them to ever see clearly again. I know so many people from around these fire disasters that believe most of the quotes above despite all the evidence pointing to the contrary. It feels like the goal is to create the most civil unrest as possible. Not good :sigh:

Oregon fires surround NSW couple who lived through three Australian blazes in past year

When Cobargo couple Connie and Mark Woodberry arrived in Oregon in mid-March, as the global COVID-19 pandemic was taking hold, they had endured close encounters with three separate bushfires in Australia.

Their horror run started in September last year, when a bushfire broke out south of their home on the NSW far south coast.

By early November, smoke from bushfires further north was beginning to choke many towns along the far south coast, prompting the couple to visit family in the Adelaide Hills — a critical decision.

"The Lobethal fires in Adelaide Hills hit just before Christmas and we had to evacuate my husband's parents overnight," Ms Woodberry said.

They returned home shortly before a firestorm devastated Cobargo on News Year's Eve.

"By the time we packed the car the heat from the fires was almost unbearable," Ms Woodberry said.

Job prospects led the couple to the US in March, where they faced accommodation shortages and city lockdowns from the COVID-19 pandemic, before being thrown into another bushfire emergency.
