The fun thing with playing a second round series like this is that, with the options and possibilities we have this summer as a team, as well as the craziness brought about from the new cap, the excitement won't stop just because the games have! While we dreaded the offseason last year, this year offseason will be exciting no matter if we sign a free agent or not!

The draft takes place in only a month. We know Olshey will be trying like always to create value out of scraps, and I think its a 50-50 chance will have a first round pick. I think theres talent at the end of the first, and draft night will be EXCITING.

A week after, we begin free agency. Last year, that was a obviously a stressful time, and it appeared we had everything to lose and nothing to gain.

However, this July will be the most exciting free agency period that I can ever remember as a Blazer fan. Why? Because there's no way we won't get better for next season even if we sign no one. However we have a very REAL CHANCE and the CAP SPACE to add a big name player to take us to levels not seen since the early 2000s.

-If we keep the young guns together, they will naturally improve, and will build on this for next year, where we will still have cap space. We will be better.
-If we add a big name free agent (Durant, Horford, Derozen, Whiteside, etc.), we will obviously improve and be better.
-Olshey is a very good at selling anything, and we have some pieces to pursue a trade for a big name player (Cousins, Millsap, etc.) I think theres a chance we may land one of those guys.
-Any unforeseen move by Olshey I trust will make us better, as we've seen this dude make great value signings with Aminu and Davis. This dude is the best GM in the league.

Granted, if we lose a series in these playoffs, I will be a little upset because we had the chance to do more. However, I will be happy that we had the chance to do more.

However, there is no worst case scenario, and the possibilities are endless. And given that we are only a month or so away from all this happening, I don't think there's any time to be upset if we lose. The Excitement Will Carry Through!

Hell man! I don't even watch the NBA Finals. Let me guess the Spurs and Golden State win again!! :breakdance:Once the Blazers are done that's it for me. Baseball and Soccer. I don't pay attention unless we make a move.

But thats the thing! Losing in the first round last year, we had a lot more time to dwell on the Lamarcus bullshit. Now that we've played into the 2nd round, we don't have time to dwell on anything, AND there's nothing to dwell on!

Well. If Durant signs here you guys keep me up to date. :cool2:
