The Game is straight out of Compton and came straight into your living room Friday night, making "Tonight" his night.
The multi-platinum rapper, who is currently on tour supporting his latest hit album, Doctor's Advocate, closed out Friday's "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on NBC with a rousing rendition of his latest single, "Wouldn't Get Far."
Decked out in a backwards red Dodgers cap, a red, white and black Champion hoodie over a white T-shirt, jeans and his familiar Chuck Taylors, Game took the stage and immediately saluted his hometown people by saying, "Game on the Westside, Jay Leno."
Fronting a six-piece band that included a backup singer, Game tore through a very edited-for-network-TV version of the single, which is a humorous tale of the "video vixens" who try to become stars by appearing in rap videos.
When he was done rapping and was joined on stage by Leno as the credits rolled, Game flashed the familiar West Coast symbol with his left hand.
Game is in the process of taking Los Angeles by storm. He already played one sold-out show at the House of Blues in Anaheim on Thursday night and will perform two sold-out gigs at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip (Sunday and Monday) before returning to Anaheim for one more sold-out concert on Feb. 8.
