If I were the Bucks I'd trade him to the Jazz for a zillion picks and Markkanen

If I had to guess most likely destinations, I'd say:
New York
Houston
Miami
Dark horse: San Antonio. Yes, making a big splashy trade is not their usual thing, but I can see them wanting to protect Wemby from wear-and-tear by teaming him with a bruising big like Giannis. But there's no way they give up Harper, and probably they wouldn't consider Castle, either.

What do you think the chances are of a Portland/Milwaukee/NY 3 team trade happens? KAT to Portland with Giannis go to the Knicks. I believe it was reported last year that the Blazers were really high on KAT.

0.
There was no credible source that said that the blazers were interested in him, outside of self referential posts.

I don't see how NY has the assets - they don't have a single pick. Towns doesn't have much value on that massive contract.

Houston I could see.

GS is a team some are overlooking but I could see happening. They have all their picks.

SAS maybe but the timeline doesn't make as much sense. They have enough picks that they could do it without gutting their roster though.

Blazers might be a team in the mix in the summer or as the 3rd team, no chance if a deal is done before the February deadline though.

If we aren’t trading for Gianis I see no reason to want to trade those picks and pick swaps back to them, those are gold!!!

Two other names to throw out there:
Jaylen Brown in Boston (the Celtics are nowhere near as bad as the Lakers in expecting to be handed players, but they're still pretty bad)
Evan Mobley in Cleveland. (Nobody's saying this, it just occurred to me, because watching him last night he seems to have stalled in his development at "very good" rather than "Superstar." But I think he would definitely tempt Milwaukee - especially if they don't get the picks back from us)

If Boston would move off Jaylen Brown for Giannis I'd hope we could pry Brown from the Bucks (only if Dame appears to be healing nicely and we think he won't fall off a cliff)

I went to the Trade Machine to try to work out a trade and I see that Brown is paid FIFTY THREE MILLION this year. That's 21 million PER YEAR more than our highest-paid player (Jerami, who would presumably have to go to the Bucks in this scenario, along with?)

Could the Spurs be the front runners for Giannis? Also I am not a fan of the Trae deal.

What if you could get Bam Adabayo for those picks (/swaps) and Jerami Grant?
Yes for a few exceptions I would make the trade but it better be one hell of a player we get back and at least fit our window with younger group. Think Bam is 28-29 so he’s borderline age wise

Nightmare scenario: Giannis for a package centered around Austin Reaves.

Except... I think OKC would still beat a Giannis/Luka/LeBron Lakers team, and it would be extra awesome. I would actually be rooting for OKC, and that takes a lot these days.

(And it would be a miracle if the Lakers made it to the finals without at least one of those three going down with an injury.)

So, supposedly the Bucks are on notice that if they don't look like a contender in the first third or so of the season, they will have to trade Giannis. New York supposedly has dibs, but can they offer the most? I kind of see KAT as a negative asset, and he would be their main piece. I don't foresee (or even particularly want) a Giannis-Dame reunion, but I'm curious what would be the best offers out there. Houston? Toronto? I mean, New Jersey could probably offer a really good package but Giannis would probably veto that trade...

Giannis and Jrue won a championship

Dame
Jrue
Deni
Giannis
Clingan

Can do damage

It all depends what Milwaukee wants from us

Reaves is better than Sharpe at the moment but I'd have to think a rebuilding team would prefer the younger guy.

Sounds like the Bucks will try to move Giannis where he wants to go though. Which is good for us if they accept a lesser package since we have their picks.

Lot of wishful thinking for potential of old players.

Take the picks. All other discussion is to make the team worse. Its already a shitty team with or without him, so take the picks.

The team will be worse as Jrue and Dame continue to age either way.

Might as well make a splash on an "old" Giannis. Dude is only gonna be 31 in a couple days.

Any team that want him should look to POR and or NOP as partners because of the picks owned by those teams. Love it. You want Giannis? Then you will need to free up MIL’s own picks that they can control. POR could get some nice young talent by giving up a pick.

That said he will be a Laker, a Knick, or a Spur. Probably the Lakers will get him for Reaves and change

Dark horse win now trade for Philly.

Philly gets
Gianis
Portis

Bucks
Get some picks back
Grant
Rob
Thybulle
Scoot or sharpe

First question is why Bucks don’t just take VJ, they need their picks more than the difference between value of scoot or sharpe and VJ.

Philly would be powerhouse with maxey, Gianni’s and Embid and fit timeline better

Also: it sounds like a Morey move

I don't see Philly moving VJ. I think they are more likely to move Embiid than either of their students guards.
