I came back after playing ps4 and watching The Pianist and had a bunch of quotes for a locked thread. Not even going to read them now.

you should. The reason it was locked is because an argument about how some people put thier hands over thier ears and claim evil of anyone who disagrees.

Then you have the last post... and a locked thread.
You have to laugh at the complete hypocrisy until you realize its a mod who should be above that...

And thats S2. Now even the mods participate in blocking free speech if they disagree with it.

fucking unbelievable.

edit: some mods. Obviously each one is different.

I would laugh but that may start another long diatribe. :P

I ain't doing shit but homework lately, but I came across this for any Portlanders who are geeks about old school arcade games (as I am):

Quarters? Didn't know about this place. They're renting out cabinet games and pinball machines to paying customers, but not sure what they're charging. Anyhoo, thought that was kinda cool. If I could afford it, I'd totally rent me an old punch-out or galaga cabinet.

Indeed. You have a few trees in the PNW. :) Not a lot of tall trees here. We have them, but nothing close to those in Oregon, Washington, etc.

OK, a couple of years ago, my wife and I decided to take a driving trip to see the Redwoods, and such. She had never seen one, and it had been decades for me. Actually, that trip has been one of the most memorable for us. We flew into Reno and rented a car. We drove around Lake Tahoe, but didn't spend the night there. We then drove to Yosemite NP and spent a couple of nights there. That park is incredible! Whoa! What wonderfully immense trees! We were fortunate to be there the day Mariposa Grove opened back up! We definitely plan to get back and stay somewhere down at the floor level. We were in an AB&B outside the park. We then drove to Sequoia NP and spent a couple of nights there. A wonderful park, but not nearly as exciting as Yosemite. We then drove through the (produce wonderland) Cali Central Valley. That segment of the trip was where you roll down the car windows and dangle your feet outside (passenger only!), feeling the wind between your toes while singling along to the blaring Hotel California, etc. We continued on into San Francisco, where we spent a couple of days, staying at another AB&B in the very cool Mission District. Lots of fun there, as well. Anyway, I had always wanted to drive up that slow spiraling, winding Highway 1. You know the one, right along the California coastline....sometimes a bit treacherous, or so it seemed. Began at Bodega Bay (where The Birds was filmed) and wended our way on up the coastline. My wife was relieved we were heading North...away from the ledges! LOL From there, we then toured all through the Redwood Forest, drove through a tree, and such. We worked our way up the Oregon Coast, then headed East out of Newport. By the way, one of my favorite restaurants is Local Ocean in Newport...down on the bayfront. Next time you're there, check it out. You won't be disappointed! We spent a couple of nights in Bend (firepits at McMenamins, baby!), then on to Portland to visit family. We returned the car in Portland and flew back to Nashville from there. All in all, we put 2,000 miles on the car over two weeks. Again, it was probably the best trip we've been on. I gotta say, flying somewhere and plopping down has its purposes and fun, but there's nothing quite like a road trip! We're planning to do a Texas road trip next. (Austin is a bucket list destination for me! I'm a huge Stevie Ray Vaughan fan. R.I.P.)

Sorry about the novel, @Lanny , but you seem like the type that likes to share and reminisce. :)
I loved your novel.
Pine trees are everywhere in Alabama and Georgia and I'm positive that Tennessee has an abundance of them

As for passenger only, speak for yourself. I dangle mine out every window.
The redwoods are absolutely the most awesome thing I've ever seen although Crown Point on a sunny day rivals the redwoods. I drove through that tree when I was a toddler and our family took a trip there. I then drove through there again while on my first honeymoon and again while on a trip to or from Reno. Love that drive up the coast all the way from Big Sur to Olympia, Washington. Spectacular. My favorite river is the Breitenbush which empties into Detroit reservoir and comes out of there I believe as the Santiam. This also held my favorite state park camp ground.

I played my share of pinball when I was in college. That and marijuana are my two major regrets while in college. That was closely followed by too much time spent with various girlfriends which my father warned me about but died before he could divert me.

That is a "bad" dog. He's on the couch.

Ha!...I meant what breed obviously. Kinds looks like a Weimaraner but some of its hair looks kinda long.

...besides, the couch had covers on it.

One cool thing....food trucks have begun rolling into our neighborhood. Will definitely be ordering some grub in the near future...

I've read conflicting reports but out of an abundance of caution I have microwaved the food I've gotten the few times from restaurants.

Some food sucks when microwaved but Burgerville's Fish & Waffle Cut Fries is damn tasty even after being nuked for a minute.

Now I remember where I've seen your avatar. Turbo Grafx 16 - Battle Royale

No food trucks rolling around here.

Reminds me of Atlanta. Food trucks would frequent job sites with cheap high calorie crap for people doing manual labor jobs.

We get a food truck every Thursday in front of our building. Usually they suck ass though and overpriced. Too many shitty food trucks and the mexican ones that are usually good are less hygenic, so I'd stay away from those for right now.

No wonder the neighbors complain.

barfo
They complain that they don't get to see enough of it. So, eat your heart out Barfo.

^^^What kind of dog is that?

Actually, she's a Sheepadoodle. She plays a lot with our other smaller Shorky. We're derelict in our duty to keep her brushed therefore, her hair ends up getting matted.

Hence, the sheep-shorn look. LOL. It's all good, though. She wears it well, and summer's coming.

Thanks for asking.
