I was at first gonna say, you just kill them?? Why??.. But then...

These things come in your yard? ?? Holy Jebus!!! I would set up mines around my perimeter!!! Illusion or not....

Yeah, this time of the year you gotta be real careful when/where you're walking because they've only been out of the ground for maybe a month and are looking for food and water to fatten up again, and of course the males and females are both looking for mates. Funny thing around here is that as many ponds we have around here, and as long as I've lived out here I've only seen one cotton mouth moccasin ever...now, copperheads, hell they're everywhere...not very big snakes but hey say the bite is horrible, almost as bad as a diamondback.

Packing up the Cougar and heading out to Lake Simtustus around noon tomorrow.
Yank59 got me all freak out on those rattlers, got my S&W and ax, so them vipers better keep their distance...

i camped there years ago. Cool area. I’ve heard it’s more resort like these days

If there’s no TP, I’d say that the recommended hand washing time would be 2 hours, minimum.
Remind me not to shake hands with any of these characters.

I want to retire in crooked river. Love it there. Been going there every year since I was just a young kid.
Didn't it use to have a different name? If I remember right they even had their own air strip.

I don’t remember an air strip. I always remember it as crooked river ranch. An old sticky guy who wore a cowboy hat and called himself crooked River Bob in the late 80’s early 90’s used to go around greeting people. I think he passed years ago

I thought it was called Black Butte but I could be wrong.

I had steak and eggs this morning. How do we all like our eggs? Over medium for me. I'll take poached too if I want to take the time. Also, a french omelette is always nice.
Poached can be done super easy. Fill a non stick pan with water, 2 tablespoons vinegar and get it to boil. Gently pour the eggs in, like from a tea cup, cover, turn off the heat, 4.5 minutes later, done.

I'll try that out. There are so many ways and BS gadgets for a perfectly poached egg, it's always annoyed me.

Black Butte is just west of Sisters.
Crooked River is off Hwy 26 near Redmond.

Totally agree, which is why I was happy to discover this method, so much easier

Works even better if you have some sort of rings to put the egg in so it will stay formed in a round. An empty tuna fish can with both ends removed might work.

The vinegar works to keep the poached egg together.

here's the eggs benedict I made with this method
The rings work better which is why they make them which you can buy at a kitchen ware store such as Kitchen Kaboodle.
Alton Brown made poached eggs using the rings on one of his Good Eats episodes.

Haha, yeah, I didn't have canadian bacon at the time. It was pretty damn good though
Try thin sliced ham such as Honey Baked ham.
I make an egg sandwich using toasted English muffin, fried egg, bacon, sausage or ham, cheese and butter.
