Worth the watch.

Can you imagine the flames if we would have resigned LMA and he showed up to play looking like that? And then you are staring at five years of anchor? Maybe we dodged a bullet we didn't see coming.

I definitely wanted to sign Aldridge. But it would've had a real risk. Looking back historically half the time max contract players are over the age of 30 they aren't worth what their paid. So yeah there is a real chance we dodged a bullet.

confirmation...Lamarcus is fat, out of shape and lethargic!

What's funny is that black is suppose to be slimming.

Look back at this thread in Mid December when things work themselves out.

You sure are digging a lot of holes. You may be right, but LMA showing up waaayyyy heavier and out of shape than I have ever seen him doesn't bode well for him come December.

I think LaMarcus went to the Boris Diaw school of eating.

I'm very happy with the way Portland's off season went. Especially that we didn't end up with Kanter, and got how many better prospects for the same money? LOL

Win or lose, playoffs or lottery, I'm very stoked about our players and our team.

It's been one game. Andre Miller always came into seasons overweight and worked himself into shape. LA and the Spurs will be fine. LMA is a laid back type of person/player--he's not trying to step on any toes--and he's certainly deflecting to his idol, Duncan.

LMA has never been out of shape. People said all last season the Spurs were a back to back finals team, were fine, and would figure it out in April. Instead they lost in the first round. West is just as if not more tough this year.

Everything we've heard/read since he left is contrary to that. The guy seems like a total diva.

I guess by laid back I mean not a-in-your-face like Kobe Bryant type leader. Heck we've seen Dame be more of a leader than LA was in nine years. LA is reserved--an introvert of sorts.

We also have to remember that LA did have thumb surgery this off season so he probably did take it a little easy compared to other off seasons. And he will be playing tentative with that surgically repaired thumb until he trusts it again.

Hmmm, I've never heard of a thumb making you fat before.

I was surprised the Knicks gave Robin so much money. I mean...why? You have a completly shitty team, why bother adding a guy like Robin, especially for 13 million a year? It makes no sense. Robin is definitely not a "needle mover".

...bahahaha LMA just fumbled the potential game tying shot out of bounds with 12 seconds to go -- good riddance LMAnti-Clutch!

Both our starting and back up PF played better then Lagina Albitch

NICE NICKNAMES!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

Booooo. Wes is the man and I'll be a fan of his forever. We can celebrate CJ without putting down Wes.

The other former Blazers are fair game.

Wes will always be a top 5 blazer for me, under any circumstance.

Wes will always be one of my favs too, but I will conceed that CJ is better.

On Offense. Certainly NOT on Defense.

I would argue that as well. Maybe not in CJ vs Wes, but Amino is super solid and more aggressive than Nic.

It made sense to me; since they don't own their draft pick tanking or going with a youth movement was no benefit. Lopez is a good rim protector and able bodied offensive options. Seems like the kind of player that can help make them average in the east and maybe lose in the playoffs. They just don't want to be horrific this year. He wasn't their first or second choice either.

How do you build a team if you can't get the needle movers? Obviously every team would love to add allstars but when those aren't available GM's find themselves in lose/lose situations. Don't sign any players and suck, sign an overpaid role player and possibly be stuck with an overpaid contract. This especially happens when a franchise has traded away future unprotected picks.

Dear Coach Pops,

The next time you go after a free agent you should have gym meetings instead of dinner meetings, it seems to have sent LMA the wrong message.

Just saying.

Love, Sly

My milkshake brings all the Spurs to the court...

They're like...

It's better than yours...

Damn right...

It's better than yours...

I could teach you...

But I would have to charge... (and insist that I don't have to ever play center.)

Dude, he's making about what Ed Davis and Aminu are making COMBINED. That's a terrible deal. They may as well give the money to charity.
