The "How are Aldridge, Batum, Lopez, and Matthews Doing?" Thread

Batum 2-6, every other Charlotte starter is +, but he is the only negative at -16. LaMarcus has only played 11 minutes so far, mid way through the 4th.

I wonder if Aldridge will make the All Star team. He won't have his numbers. Kawhi didn't make it last year so he might get Aldridge's spot.

LA only played 17 minutes. AT least he made over 50% of his shots, that is quite an accomplishment for him. The spurs won by 20, but he was a -1.

Some gems from the spurs talk board:
FUCK those LMA postups

Blazers getting better without him
LMA a black hole

Fat Aldridge in slow motion, tbh..
Spurs will not win a chip with LMA iso's all year. He has got to learn how to move the ball fast and be unselfish. Dude gets the ball and pump fakes 6 times before putting up a terrible shot. Either shoot it or move the ball. He is becoming a black hole. He needs to get shots within the system instead of forcing them. Once that happens, this team will be unstoppable.

So...never?

Is it me or we can totally see LMA getting a little cranky that his numbers are down a lot even though spurs are winning?

God knows if he doesn't make the all star game I bet he gets salty

Oh, you know he totally cares about his numbers. He's probably wishing he were back in Portland so he could get 20 shots a game and everyone would worship at his feet even when he went 6-20.

Tony Parker is also getting a lot of ire from Spurs fans.

It's really jarring to see the wheels fall off these guys on their new teams. None of them are performing as well as their worst years in Portland even in the McMillan years.

At the end of the season you might be able to make a list of the top 4 worst acquisitions in the NBA and deal exclusively with the Blazers (when you consider the opportunity costs of who they could've acquired/kept instead and salaries involved.)

At least Wes has an excuse, but LA got fat, Rolo hasn't been the same since his injury last year, and Nic is...... a lazy Frenchman.

Something so satisfying seeing Batum, LMA and Wes all blow so far. Wes didn't do too bad, 13 pts and played 29 mins, how's he looking mobility wise?

It'll be really interesting to see how this LMA thing plays out. He's already had a new article every other day crying about how he's still not comfortable and he doesn't like change. Look in the mirror douchebag, only yourself to blame.

I doubt we'll be better than the Spurs this year, but it sure is nice to be playing a different brand of basketball. We haven't really seen this kind of play for what, 10 years? Cuz if it wasn't LMA iso'ing, it was back when Roy was healthy and doing the same thing.

Link? Reading those would be hilarious!

This might have been mentioned, but so far CJ and Damian are averaging more points and assists per game than the other 4 are combined.

He's very forgettable post-injury. He moves like an older vet and doesn't have much explosiveness or lift on his shot. It's exactly what every team except Dallas was expecting.

I think the prior regime over-achieved in Portland. Remember that LA/Batum/Matthews were all on this team during some crappy years, like the 11-12 season. How would that have happened if LA is such a great star?

To be fair though when did Wes ever have explosiveness or lift on his shot?
