Cucks? Low Testosterone? No Stamina? Snowflakes?

The Trump campaign gaslit this country with these catchphrases, and his base ran with it.

The tables have turned and his base is dead silent. Or disappeared completely.

S2 boardies, lefties or righties, how would you describe this experience? How would you fix it?

IMHO Trump bred extremists and this country will always be devided - which it has always been since the civil war, but not to this degree. Why? the digital media era changed the game.

What's there to be gloating and gleeful about? Trump is still in office.

I don't know anyone who is "gloating" or gleeful about the situation. I think that's a boogie-man that the media puts out there. Most of the progressive/lefties I know are pessimistic about stuff, due to the fact that democrats are so poorly organized that nothing ever happens.

I love all the vindication but that doesn’t mean gleefull. I’m not happy I was right that Trump was the most corrupt man in America. I might gloat if and when he is ousted or loses in 2020 but there is still way too much support for him in the senate and in the public for any gloating at the moment.

Also, his presidency elucidated just how much racism there is and that’s horrific. Even if Trump gets impeached that doesn’t change the fact that I now can’t trust 40% of Americans to stand up against blatant racism.

I find it kind of annoying that anyone does this kind of shit, to be honest. Any extreme beliefs like this (think of the "why do you hate the troops" shit from the start of this century) just make it harder to carry on an intelligent and adult conversation.

The right is far better at turning on a dime when it comes to this. I.e., they were outraged (outraged I tell you!) when Bill Clinton got a hummer in the oval office, or that he didn't fight in the war, or that he did drugs. Then they were perfectly fine with it (at least the last 2) when Bush came into office. And when the left brought up that Gore and Kerry served, they belittled their service (which was still more than Bush 43 did or 45 ever did).

It shows that people are more interested in being on the "winning" side than being consistent or putting the country first.

But mostly, it's kind of funny how smug the right seems to get (esp on here), accusing the left of doing things they themselves are currently doing. Or denying that they ever did it in the first place. "I didn't vote for Bush/Trump", yet defend him at every step of the way.

Politics. Everyone's yelling no ones listening. That'll sure get things done and lead to adult conversations.

To far left or right screws polarity. A Government with more moderation and representation from all sides that can agree on things and get things done with compromise is key, like any relationship. If it cant happen then its them against us.
Yes, social media is a tool for propaganda and hate.

and if it was Hillary, Bernie or Marco or John you'd still have the same fight going on with the two extremes and CNN,MSNBC & FOX would be spewing discord to recruit sides and get ratings to justify their existence. Thats a big part of the problem, media including this one can breed disrespect for others opinions and outward expression of such. Kids now days rather than being taught how to be part of community are being taught to pick sides & fight.

The country is so divided because the overwhelming majority of peole take their cues from mainstream media, which is grandstanding and perpetuating an exaggerated narrative of hate and division. Left and Right factions are equally complicit. Real, everyday life does not support this narrative. Most people generally get along when their noses aren't stuffed into some electronic device. Buying coffee or helping a stranger on the side of the road arent things which require a political identity. People need to look around them instead of having a screen tell them what is happening in the real world. I doubt the woes of the OT forum are an issue when an eclectic group of members are enjoying a game together in a suite. Real life, folks.

These phrases were borne out of insecurity and fear. They were a call by Trump's campaign to rile up, enlargen, and strengthen his base of conservtive white men afraid of losing their percieved dominance. They were losing what they felt was their innate right.

Trump threw it in their faces. A black man had been elected president. Women had gained equality and were calling out men in the workplace for sexually objectifying, harrassing, and assaulting them. Powerful men were being taken down.

Trump's message during his campaign was to stop this. To make America great again. That message wasn't about the economy or healthcare, it was a message to white men, nationalists, who bad been watching the collapse of their way of life. The hate, anger, and mostly the fear building. The United States had become the most diverse melting pot in the world. These men were there. Always there but didn't have the voice they once did. Thry felt they were neutured by a progressive society. That is, till Trump gave it back to them.

Trump professed that the constitution says this country belongs to white men. And, it was being taken away. What better way to stoke that fear than a race against a powerful alpha female in Hillary Clinton. He rode the fear and anger to the Whitehouse. Now, these same supporters have to stand with Trump no matter what. They will swear up and down Trump is innocent, no matter how much proof there is. They will deny it. They have too. If he loses, they lose again.

The tables are indeed turning. It scares them. Mueller represents the liberal society cuckholded by progress. His supporters are waiting to see what happens.

There is probably no fixing it. There will always be divide. And, it is not Trump bred. He just reawoke it in his campaign, to use it for his own political gain and a boost for his ego.

Male dominance in society goes back long before the civil war. It goes back to the beginning where cavemen exerted their power over women. They were in charge. Such hierarchy seems to be an innate aspect of the male species. Is it learned? Or is it coded in our very DNA?

In equalizing that dynamic we may very well be evolving against a set system rooted deeply in our genetic structure. Or maybe men just happened to be the ones who took control long ago and don't want to give it up.

Why to this degree? Maybe this is an apex, a point at which the state of this struggle over control has reached a boiling point. Progress can only go so far before it can't be stopped. Even with Trump as president, progress is still in gear. Powerful men are still being taken down. Women and people of diverse background are being elected into government. A woman will be elected president. Its only a matter of time. That scares the shit out of some people. That the countries most powerful position, which has been dominated since the birth of the country by white men is in danger, if not only a black man but a woman could find themselves there.

The terms cuck and snowflake have been around for a while, before trump. It’s no different than what far right people get called. People on both sides have terms for each. I get labeled right on this forum mostly because it’s filled with people from the left and I’m not exactly going crazy over trump and everything he does. This country was divided before he got into office, let’s be real. I wouldn’t say he has divided the country anymore than it has been.

I didn’t vote. Hillary and trump were both terrible candidates. I’m sure trump has done some grimy shit as all billionaires in business do. I’m just not gonna over react and look into everything he says because let’s be real, he talks a lot out his ass a lot and says dumb shit. No filter. I think the people in this country are losing their mind a more so because they are just losing their minds. I wouldn’t blame it on any particular thing. Interesting to watch from a far though

Trump supporters are indeed celebrating this week's reveal of Mueller's complete failure to find any evidence of Russian influence over Trump, any sign of any obstruction or anything else for that matter. A complete vindication so far, in fact.

But we expected that all along, knowing most of the facts for quite some time through wikileaks, a myriad of FOIA's and successful lawsuits from Judicial Watch.

The only new developments this week are the unveiling of a battle between Real FBI/DOJ investigators/prosecutors and Deep State FBI/DOJ investigators/prosecutors, with the tide obviously turning in favor of Real Americans.

The Clintons are going down hard. Comey just spent 7 hours saying I don't know, I don't recall and my former employer says I don't have to answer that. None of his excuses will work once he goes to trial before a Federal Judge, and no doubt he will throw half of his Deep State buddies under the bus to save his skin.

Trump is a shoe-in for another term and the Dems are [presenting no change at all in their platform or retreaded candidates.

Oh okay so you know those 40 percent are racists? This is what drives me crazy, why do you as well as other leftists on here think trump supporters just support racism? I don’t understand that. I mean sure there are racists trump supporters. But 40 percent? I mean you’re already writing off nearly half the population in America because they voted for somebody you don’t like. This is middle America we are talking about. Poor white people. Yes they exist. Uneducated as well. They believed trumps message about jobs and creating more. I don’t see what’s hard to believe about that.

I wouldn’t run and lump every Hillary supporter into some crazed group. I think a lot of voters on both sides are misguided and uneducated.

The media has done nothing but get the right and left even more crazy about the presidency. Fox, cnn, they are all jokes. Half truths with their own narratives that fit each side. People just repeat talking points from these shows and report it as fact. “Oh well this is what I saw on my news channel” and the other side saying “no you aren’t right, that’s bullshit because I saw this on my news channel!”

It’s an endless cycle that has been going on forever and people go all in on it and get angry about some politicians they like. Is that really worth it? It’s all weird to me. Then what makes it worse are the journalists on the left and right on twitter that get people going even more and people but validity in them based on that blue check mark. Oh they are verified so they must be right. They write for this place so they must be right. Nobody wants to actually research these things. They hear it and automatically it’s fact. Then it get a passed along to the point where a majority repeat it and everybody really thinks it’s fact.

I really don’t think people are as scared as diversity as you and others make it out to be. Open your eyes and ears to what’s really going on. People don’t mind diversity as long as the people being put in that position are qualified. I don’t give a shit what gender or race you are as long as you are qualified for the job. Diversity for the sake of diversity is bullshit. I guess it’s really weird seeing you and others put thoughts and words into other trump supporters. I live by trump supporters. Many of them. They are all good people. Then it’s weird when you come out of no where spewing nonsense talking about them being scared because of white dominance and male dominance, whatever the hell the nonsense you’re saying is. I mean yes there is a small portion of those that exist. Definitely. Chill though.

Oh really? I had no idea Mueller had finished his report, but as it stands it appears to Real Americans that Trump has two felony incidents against him according to the latest report.

More to come.

I agree with much of what you say, but I do think there is a definite political differences that Conservative views versus liberal views that create the divisiveness. There always has been, only now days with 24/7 media and social media many of the extremist on both sides have become more aggressive, because its who can get in who's face first by using the media as their bullhorn.

Honestly I think there is a whole lot of wrong in this post. However, I understand why one would think that. There are undoubtedly some truth's to it. I kind of feel like this is exactly my point from above a lot of yelling and no one listening. Not that you are yelling, but I feel like it shows a lack of understanding (listening) to what the other side actually feels or thinks. It seems like more of a representation of what you think of the other side.

I'm not going to argue with you, we all have our opinions. I just think one of the worst things you can do in this environment is act like you understand the other side, without having a real desire to understand them. Obviously I have no idea how much you've tried to, and maybe those ideas came from a lot of research, but my personal opinion is that is pretty off-base. I just think this reads like something the left would say in their closed circles and all get up and clap and say how right they are. It doesn't read much more sincere in terms of fixing the problem as some of the things the right says in their circles.

In terms of Trump, that whole 2016 debacle was pretty legendary on both sides, I don't know how anyone can get around that. That was two parties playing the limbo...

This is kinda funny, in a sad sorta way.

I have many friends and family in the midwest and south and some are Republicans and some democrats, really fine people from both sides. I don't view the ones that voted more against who was running against Trump as racist or white supremacist in any way. and I don't view the ones that voted for Bernie or Clinton as socialist and/or anti American constitution. I view them as Americans with their own views and thoughts but most importantly as people that deserve respect.

That the countries most powerful position, which has been dominated since the birth of the country by white men is in danger, if not only a black man but a woman could find themselves there.
yeah...I don't like him either

You should really rethink that....I voted but not for Trump or Hillary..I voted Johnson ....if you don't vote, you shouldn't complain in my view
I haven’t been complaining, I’m talking about the left and the right. That’s a ridiculous stance to have honestly. As if one vote changes the entirety of the results. As if voting for Johnson would of actually done anything. This is the old timer way of looking at things and that’s fine. Once again I’m not complaining. Whether I voted or not, these things still have affects on me whether it be socially or directly. I think I can complain and say things if I have been called a racist and whatever other bullshit this forum has thrown at me for views that aren’t very left. So yeah that whole can’t complain didn’t vote thing is horseshit

And your horseshit is bullshit. You CAN complain, but without participating in the election, you have absolutely no currency. And that is why your opinions aren’t given much if any credence here. Letting others decide for you who leads the country negates the validity of any related opinion you might have. At least for those of us who DID participate anyway. What part of that can’t you see?
