During the Bush campaigns there were a lot of people protesting against it. Like every election. Perfectly normal.

The McCain/Palin campaign is down right embarrassing. They have supporters who are going across the line into psycho territory.

This isn't normal. The McCain protesters who are going across that line are taking it way too far. Sarah Palin is fueling this as well. Putting the fear into people.

The conclusion I have came up with is simple. These people who are taking it way too far - yelling "Kill Him!," "Terrorist!," can't take the prospect of a black man becoming president.

The closet racists in the country have let their guard down and have came out of the closet.

Also, the "terrorist" name tag some republicans have labeled Obama is pure desperation.

Obama was doing his job. It just so happens he had to deal with Ayers because he was on the board of education in Chicago.

Grasping for straws. Pure desperation. Should we anticipate Obama bombing random neighborhoods? rrrrrrrright.

Gee, how convenient. People get riled up about Obama so you just call them "racists." Did you ever think their anger may have something to do with his radical politics??? "Racism" is the card that liberals bring out every time someone tells the truth about Obama.

Because saying "I don't think no blackman is fit to run this country" isn't racist. Right.

He's talking about the supporters, not the campaigners, I think.

Uh, take a look at the title of this thread.

There are lots of racists out there, and many of them are supporting Obama. They don't have a clue about his policies, they just want a black man in the White House. That's racism.

if by terrible you mean feeble then yes, i agree.

anyone who would choose Palin to be a heartbeat away from being the most powerful human on earth, should not be trusted to lead this country.

If the choice is between Palin running the country, or Obama, I'll take Palin every day of the week and twice on Tuesdays.

Says a blind McCain jock rider.

Palin is an airhead. What in the world would she do if she didn't have a teleprompter to read from? or speech writers?

You can't judge a campaign by its supporters all the time.

So you're saying that he really is a Muslim, and a terrorist? Those are untrue statements, not true ones. To say that there has not been any racism in McCain's campaign shows blind support of him. When that lady made comments about Obama being a Muslim, McCain took the mic from her and say "No he's not a Muslim, he's decent". Basically implying that Muslim people ARE NOT decent.

Not all the racism in this campaign has been directed at Obama, and not all of it has been intentional. I do believe that McCain was poorly coached and shows a lack of common sense about things that should not be said.

Heh, heh. The "blind" folks are supporting Obama.

Palin is an airhead. What in the world would she do if she didn't have a teleprompter to read from? or speech writers?
And what would Obama do if he didn't have speechwriters, or teleprompters? He's never run a town or a state, and Palin has done both, so who is the less qualiified?

So you're saying that he really is a Muslim, and a terrorist?
No one with any brains has said Obama is a terrorist. What they HAVE said is that he "pals around with terrorists," which is true. He clearly sympathizes with people like William Ayers and the Rev. Wright, and shares their view of America, or else he wouldn't have attended Wright's church for over 20 years or associated with Bill Ayers, who still has not said he is sorry for the bombings, and wished he could "have done more."

To say that there has not been any racism in McCain's campaign shows blind support of him.
I never said that. There is racism on both sides, but the racism on Obama's side never gets pointed out by the media.

Nope, the title is correct in saying campaign, and not supporters. It's not really an Obama is black, he's bad thing. It's, Obama is a Muslim, that's a bad thing!

VA GOP Chief Compares Obama to Osama

October 12, 2008 3:52 PM

Time's Karen Tumulty spent some time in Virginia this week covering the ground game in that battleground state, and happened upon an interesting little scene.

In McCain's Gainesville, Va., office, Virginia Republican Party Chairman Jeff Frederick, standing on a folding chair, spoke to 30 campaign volunteers who were about to go canvassing door to door.

He gave them "talking points," Tumulty writes, "for instance, the connection between Barack Obama and Osama bin Laden."

Said Frederick: "Both have friends that bombed the Pentagon," in a reference to Obama acquaintance William Ayers. "That is scary."

Added a woman: "And he won't salute the flag."

(Not true.)

Offered a male volunteer: "We don't even know where Senator Obama was really born."

(Also not true.)

Sorry for quoting the past.

There is so much racism against Obama. I play CS:S and the amount of ignorant shit I see against him is disturbing. Where is the love?

EDIT: Quote fail.

So, given the fact that he is a terrorist sympathizer, a member of a radical religious sect (and obviously a liar) and is the front runner to be the next president of the United States, are you not surprised people are shouting "Kill him!" at McCain rallies?

I'm surprised you haven't suggested it yet. Where's your patriotic duty to protect this country from obvious threats against it? Are you still voting for John McCain? He shook hands with Obama! I saw it on TV! He's paling around with Barack Hussein Obama.

And what would Obama do if he didn't have speechwriters, or teleprompters?

I imagine he'd make an honest remark about "spreading the wealth" to a random guy who asked him an unsolicited question.

I also imagine that this questioner would be smeared and vetted more thoroughly than Obama by the "journalists" who are supposed to represent the "average Joe".

The Secret Service found no evidence of the "Kill Him" remark.

Stay stupid.

You got it. Or he might say something about stupid voters who cling to their guns and their religion.

Oh, yes. We can always trust the media to hunt down and destroy the "evil conservatives." That's their specialty.

And that is the main reason why Obama will win the election because anyone that doesn't vote for him (like me and others) will be called racist and other bad names. So a lot of people will vote for Obama from the fear of being called those names.

I on the other hand do not worry from such weak accusations, and will vote for McCain, and proudly tell everyone I can here in Mass. that I'm a McCain supporter.

And it is true that the Democrats use the race cards 95% of the time.

McCain't couldn't even beat out GW in 2000 for the Republican nominee...GW, arguably one of the worst presidents in the history of the US...and now, all of a sudden, we are supposed to believe that 8 years later McCain't is going to be better than what we just had to suffer through with GW in office???

I'm not following this logic. What does losing a primary have to do with what kind of administration a candidate will have?

To the Democrats it means a lot, especially since they have a candidate of their own with no damn experience.

Back to the Obama campaign, he has simply bought the whole election and the votes, by buying the media (tv stations, newspapers), by buying people (that are well known in this country), by buying hollywood (who I don't really care about) and by buying votes (ACORN, and other organizations).

Wouldn't technically the people bought this election for Obama, since we are the ones who gave Obama the money to buy the ad buys?

Your misinformed. How is Obama buying votes with ACORN? How does having Mickey Mouse and Tony Romo registered in odd places to vote help Obama? That was just a volunteer being lazy, and not doing their job, stealing ACORN's money.

CK, there are so many odd things about this post, I hardly know where to start. I certainly respect your conservative views and your desire to vote for Mccain, but to argue that some people will vote for Obama because they feel "pressured" by those that would otherwise call them "racist" is ridiculous. Voting is anonymous. How can anyone call anyone anything when no one has the right to learn how anyone else votes? You are free to do as your conscious demands.

This is the #1 conversation amongst Americans regarding this election (proving that people can occasionally think independently of the media if the topic is obvious enough).

People will vote however they want, but how big is the gap between that and what people tell pollsters? Lots of people are trying to assign a percentage to this, but there is no way to be sure until the election is over.

It's like diagnosing Alzheimer's. You can diagnose it to an inch from certainty based on the symptoms, but the only way to confirm it is during an autopsy.

I think you calling Barack Obama a Muslim, and trying to put a negative connotation on the word Muslim has more to do with people calling you a racist than you voting for McCain.

Right; we don't know how accurate the polls are. But I don't know anyone who would call someone a "racist" just because they don't vote for Obama. Narrowminded, foolish--they come to mind.:devilwink:

I'm not calling him a Muslim, I could care less what he is, but his middle name is Husein, he cannot drop the name now that he's running, and he's the one trying to portray the Muslims as bad people because he quick to say that "he's not muslim, but a "good" christian".

I lived in rural South Carolina, and a lot of people there would go out of their way to disassociate themselves with the appearance of racism around me because they think all Northerners are constantly judging them.

These people are not dumb. They realize that what you say is true - that the election is about hundreds of issues and a vote can be earned for a million different reasons. But in their heads, there is always this nagging feeling that the way they talk and where they are from will cause others to think they are racist if they openly support McCain. It's not even logical, but I can see it happening a lot down there.

A friend of mine once said (about this election, and whether or not someone voted for McCain or not)...

"I don't think you're racist because you want to vote for McCain...I just think you're stupid"
