There is no signing with amnesty bids. A team wins the bid on a player they are that teams player just like a team can trade a player whereever they want if he doesnt have a no trade clause. The player may not be happy about it and if that player isnt happy about it then he can always pull a carson palmer.

It wasn't his choice to "sign" with them or not. Unless he wanted to sit out the whole season and forfeit his money. Billups said the same. Didn't stop Clipper from nabbing him.

Billups was re-signed by the Clippers. Brand likely wants to be signed by Dallas.

Initially, billups did not want anyone to bid on him. He wanted to choose where he went. Clippers bid anyways. Brand had one year left. If he really wanted Dallas, and someone else bid, he'd have two options. Suck it up and take the money someone bid for his services for one year, or sit out the entire year, forfeit the money, and THEN sign with Dallas. Clear?

Wouldnt trade anything for gooden. Hurts capspace for this summer and it seems like this team will be content with missing the playoffs this year.
