This could work for our debt-ridden government. How about the Waste Management of Oregon Portland City Hall?

Of course.I'm sure the upcoming premium hike will be purely coincidental.![]()
Yes. It's what he gets paid for.Is Brian Wheeler going to say, "And they're on their feet here at the Moda Center!"?

Foolish, uninformed post.

Yep. Health insurance rates never went up before Obama.
I'm not saying they didn't. But considering the "promise" of lower rates..... it's a bit disappointing that our company's health insurance rates are seeing their highest increase, both percentage-wise and dollar-wise, since our company started in 2004.
I'm not talking about history. I'm talking about the difference in what we, the American Public, were told regarding Obamacare, and what appears to be reality.
Another foolish post:

Please know what you're talking about, then post.
And again, I JUST told you my MODA rates are going down on Oct 1st. What else happens on that date?
OREGON EXCHANGES OPEN....

Another foolish post. Again, as your article states, OR is the only state people are seeing any sort of decrease. And it's not across the board. I'm sorry you fail to see you alone, your rate, is going down. Not universally. For all Americans. In every state. Regardless of carrier.
And the rates I was provided, again, just last week are for January 1, 2014. These are hot of the presses. These are what the rates will be.
You're going off articles. I'm going off what others are telling me specifically and what I'm seeing across a broad band of carriers. Dental and health are two quite different ponies, BTW.

I guess myself and the company I work for are not poor enough. Guess I'm subsidizing you bitches, at least according to this:
"The new insurance rates won’t come without trade-offs. In Louisiana last week, the state’s BlueCross BlueShield plan said it expected premiums to stay flat or decline next year for about 75 percent of the individual market when subsidies are included. The remaining 25 percent will likely see increases, with rates more than doubling for some people who make too much for the financial assistance, the company said."
Whatever it is, doesn't change the fact that all re-published rates I received were higher than last year. I'll be ecstatic if they come down. But everything I've seen in my face indicates otherwise.
ODS/MODA is my company health insurance provider. I'm not that thrilled that they are spending $4 million of our premium money on this. WTF do they need that kind of advertising exposure to entice companies to go with their insurance plans? Is some company going to pay them more for less, just because their name is on the Rose Garden? It's a big, important dollars and 'sense' decision, not based on name recognition.
Not to derail this thread because it has degenerated into something completely not about the OP but, I will say this and be done:
I would much rather subsidize HUMAN CITIZEN'S Health, Than These Oil Corporations and Monsanto. They take billions every year for absolutely nothing. I'd rather my taxes pay for people to have care than for corporate welfare. It costs WAY less to subsidize early care than for my premiums to skyrocket because of unnecessary, expensive trips to the emergency room.
Edit: And you are not subsidizing me. I pay my premium EVERY MONTH.
