I'll be buying whatever sides from trader Joe's this year

Green bean casserole is white trash as fuck

Broccoli casserole? What the fuck

How boring of a state do you have to be to have Gravy as your most popular side dish. As for biscuits? no clue never had them on Thanksgiving, maybe some rolls, but no biscuits. Give me some Candies yams and dressing and I am good.

We do a cold broccoli salad. It is delicious. Bacon, onions, broccoli, carrots, golden raisins, mayo, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.

My favorite has always been stuffing/dressing and Brussels spouts.

I dont do broccoli and I dont do Brussel sprouts

I sometimes bake biscuits.

This is a mashed potato loving country. Would be interesting to see if there are regional variations.

Mayonnaise is never on my list.

Growing up in observant Jewish family naturally never had mac and cheese.

Yeah, but you bake real biscuits. The ones that map are talking about in Oregon are probably Pillsbury

Trying to decide what mini desserts to make for my mini Thanksgiving. Mini pecan pie, pumpkin pie, bourbon bread pudding (making bourbon brown sugar glazed turkey so it goes), mini cranberry upside down cake?

Biscuits? Wtf?

Mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce (I actually prefer the nasty looking stuff out of a can), turkey, whatever....All better.

I can't say I have ever had a biscuit for a Thanksgiving. What kind of backwoods Deliverance type people did they interview?

If I get to vote I'm going with the mini cranberry upside down cake...

Being around family you dislike is why God invented television and sports. My trick is to just be more dislikeable than they are so they all get the flu on the holiday and I eat alone damnit!

My in laws refuse to have sports or the tv on for holidays.....

I grew up watching sports on holidays.

Really takes the holiday spirit out of it for me.

We have Thanksgiving dinner

I think more crackers do Thanksgiving lunch or afternoon

We put on movies and play childhood video games downstairs while the parents eat up stairs (we usually have 20 to 30 people over)

Biscuits? Never heard of biscuits for a side dish at thanksgiving.

I've also never done biscuits for Thanksgiving and have never met anyone who did. We do dinner rolls like real Americans.

We do dinner as well....the idea is that the house smells like cooking all day
