Ah, so you're going to play the, "You're not black; you don't get it" card. How trite.
Trite. OK. I apologize. You see, it is a card that I was dealt. Experience is my trump in this case. I'm fascinated by the paradox of race, and converse on this subject fairly often. It's funny - your spirited denunciation of "nigger" surpasses everybody else so far, except maybe some of the older black folks I've known. People that lived through a different meaning.
We're not talking about what the world revolves around, but how a word effects people. Or am I wrong? The word has evolved as the world and many black Americans right along with em. Seemingly all you've noticed is the word change. And I'm the one in a bubble? Don't you think we ever change? Don't you think we can grow?I didn't ever claim that the word has any meaning. I personally don't give a sh*t and I use the word liberally. However, I still realize that I'm not the only person in the world. You apparently aren't quite as conscious of the outside world. I know it's probably fairly suprising to you, but the world doesn't revolve around you and whatever "community" you think you belong to.
And I'm not speaking for anyone. I'm telling you what I see and hear when I kick it with black people. And not the ones you'll see on the 24 hour news channels, neither. What I mostly glean is phantom pain. And you were comparing me getting called a nigger with getting shot in the face. I got it. But it was so ridiculous, it deserved a remake.I was not making a metaphor with the shotgun blast; you misinterpreted what I said. It was merely an example. I mean really, you are talking for the entire black culture and saying that you don't care about it. Not one of you. At all. It's all fake. That's a pretty bold statement with pretty flimsy points to back it up. I'm pretty sure it's not white people that care.
I'm not speaking for every black person or the human race. But I'm telling you, there's something going on. Sticks and stones, Justice. Isn't that something? How often the trite can still be true, I mean. There are some people that are desensitized to it, but once again, you and I are not the entire human race.
