The nets are terrible on 2k8 with YI!!!!

i did the trade and the team immediately became one of the worst in the league.

Had a lineup of harris,carter,yi, swilliams, krstic.

horrible. Yi sucks on this game!

WE better make a trade otherwise i will throw my xbox out the window playing 2k9!
 
lol i thought i was the only one.........but i did harris, carter, boki, yi, kristic.......yi can post up and shoot mid range and hit a three every once in a while, but nachar can handle scoring that rj use to get.
 
the defense is abysmal with nachbar, yi and krstic. i use swill and swift at center. some shot blocking in the paint at least.

this is going to be bad if we dont get either a sg or sf in here.
 
The nets WANT TO LOSE. its called rebuilding. its gonna take a couple years, but the nets aren't making any moves till 2010 at the earliest.
 
Yi has a dirty shot in 2K8 what are you talking about?
 
Bahaha, 2k8 defines how bad the Nets will be, that's funny.

NBA games have weird ratings and how they sim and work is weird too. Just play every game and you'll win for sure.
 
If you are basing the "need" to make a trade/build a team via NBA2K8, well, I am not sure what an appropriate response would be.

Other than, franchise mode is cool to play around with. But it made far too many "GMs" out of people who, in reality, have no clue on how to build a team.

I hope this thread is a joke...

Otherwise..... (I suggest trying to trade for someone like Artest then; excellent defender)
 
The ratings are WAY off, Josh Boone is putrid in that game, he's like a 67? I mean.. his rebounding, esp offensive rebounding, is in the 60s.... You can't say that game is entirely accurate. Also, Harris is not a 99 speed, BS! hahaha. You also have to bank on SWilliams being better in next year's game, cuz his shot blocking isn't really high enough in the game. BTW... I am addicted to 2K8, hahaha.... and my nets team looks nothing like this nets team, because I am god of GMs...

You know how to play? Yi has 99 standing dunk in NBA 2k8. I score 38 points with him in 5 min quarters online.

Anyway, the stats are not accurate, but Nets with Yi in the game doesn't suck. Sean Williams stats in game is screwed.

LOL the first game I played with Yi I had him at the 4 and Boki at the 3. Yi was a BEAST for me I think I had 35 points with him.

Actually I made the trade myself and have been having consistent 25/5 games with Yi. His midrange in the pick and pop is deadly, you just shoot over anyone.

Yi in NBA 2k8 plays like Amare. Run him up on the break or pick and roll for the dunk every time. He's unstoppable at the paint, but don't make him dribble or shoot outside.

Kristic is also very good. I think he plays closer to real life, programmers did better scouting for him.


So strange, the Yi that plays in China and Yi that played in Milwaukee are so different. In 2K8, they must have imported his Chinese team stats.

I dont remember what contracts I picked up or if I did a 3way deal.

I play Yi at 3 and I run three plays, Back door Cut, Baseline Curl, and I do Pick and Roll.

Guaranteed to score.
 
I'd just put the All-NBA first and second team on the Nets. That should help.
 
Yi is awesome in NBA2K8. he's super aggressive and always seems to go for a dunk rather than some cheesy fadeaway hook shot. His defense SUX though

interseting move, I have a feeling that Yi will be a 3 along with his backup Ryan Anderson in real life though...

Yes i was talking defensively. He can score easy. him and krstic are money with the short jumpers.
 
I thought it made my team better. Yi was more productive down low than any of the other Bigs the Nets had, and when I get Carter to drop buckets, Yi is always
open and (usually) makes the open jumper.
