Hamilton, a 6′-6″ swingman, is a 26-year-old defensive specialist who won a job with the Utah Flash in an open tryout, then became the NBDL’s best defender, averaging 3.2 steals per. Now, after impressing in two summer leagues, he’s in Nets’ camp. “I can bring energy to the game and defense so that is what I plan to do here,” he says.

He was the best defender in the D-League because he was the only defender in the D-League.

would be nice to see him make it but I doubt it because we only got like one spot left and we are looking for a PG. So Eddie Gill has the best chance of making the team even tho I want the last spot to go to Hodge

I did watch him play in the summer league. Wish that Jaycee was in camp with the Nets.

I see your point Montross, but I'm happy for Jaycee. He did what he had to do, get guarenteed money and a spot overseas (more than he'd probably make here) and support his upcoming child. He would've most likely been cut had he been in our camp, possibly.

Carroll, like a lot of NBA defectors, is making a lot of money in Europe. Last I checked, he was averaging 17 ppg in the Italian League exhibition games. The European leagues are filled with players like him: undersized shooters who dont play much defense, and it doesnt matter if theyre Europeans, Australians or Americans.

What I found interesting is that when he signed in Italy, he said he had offers from two NBA teams, the Suns and the Raptors. So it appears he didnt even get an offer from the Nets. No indication in the stories why.
