I can't see the original post, but who started this rumor the Blazers have a new offense? They don't. Same offense, different personnel. In the past it was the Roy iso and kick-out. Now, it's the Aldridge iso and kick out. The only real difference in the "system" is that Roy drove the lane and kicked out, Aldridge starts in the post and kicks out.
The real difference isn't the system, it's the personnel. Roy had Aldridge he could dish to for the 17 - 19 footer, plus multiple 3-point shooters. Aldridge has much poorer shooters to kick out to. Webster and Bayless are gone, and replaced with nothing. Aldridge is now down low and doesn't have a comparable second option to pass to (Wes Mattews is a good player, but he's not close to pre-injury Roy, or even pre-beast Aldridge). Outlaw is gone, replaced with a submiature, poorer shooting version of himself - a guy who can, and will, create his own shot almost every time he touches the ball. Unfortunately, creating and making shots are two different things and the new version is almost a foot shorter and shoots a much lower percentage.
Same system, inferior personnel = worse results. No big surprise there. How can anyone possibly claim it's the system responsible for the decline in production and totally ignore the massive changes in the roster? It makes absolutely no sense.
