Re: The Next 7: Getting a gauge after a very good start (2-0)

This is why strength of schedule sucks. Denver is now a .500 team and it adds to our strength.

Re: The Next 7: 2-0 so far out of the 'next7'

CHICAGO - Win with a HUGE 3rd quarter (11-2)
@ G-State - Bogut-liscious comeback (12-2)
NEW YORK - Trap game? Knicks are on a 6 game losing streak
@ Phoenix - Suns have given the Blazers all sorts of trouble
.....much needed 3 day break......
@ Lakers - Kobe is practicing
INDIANA - First of two epic match-ups.
OKC - A chance to close out this stretch in remarkable fashion.

Originally I had the Blazers at 5-2 for this stretch with the possibility of a surprise loss. Golden State was one of those projected losses. You would think they would get the Knicks although Melo' gives them fits and then the pesky Suns.

If they can somehow get those two and then get the break to get their legs back, this run could get really special.

Our strength of schedule is low because we beat the teams we beat.

Their strength of schedule will be just fine at the end of this stretch when they end with Indiana and OKC. If they manage to win those to games at home, the place will be rockin'!

A 16-4 start for the first quarter of the season would be more than anyone could have asked for . . . it's doable.

Re: The Next 7: Bulls through Thunder (3-0 so far)

Great first half against the Knicks and a somewhat expected letdown in the second half. But a win is a win and you get through games like that just hoping to get a win and suffer no injuries.

Now for some revenge against those troublesome Suns.

If I'm being honest, I would have said these past two games would have been a loss against Chicago, a loss against GS and a win against NY for a 1-2 start. This team continues to impress me.

I think we beat the Suns, beat the L*kers, lose to Indy and beat OKC. That puts us at 6-1, which seems crazy.

Nice. You're coming around. The game that scares me most is Phoenix. They beat us in Phoenix before and nearly beat us in Portland. They make us look bad. The good part is that our team knows this and I'm sure will treat them with respect. If we win in Phoenix and in LA as you predict, oh my goodness, the streak has a good chance of hitting 17.

Yeah. Anytime I see PHX on the schedule... ugh.. and technically we'll haved played them 3 times in a 30 day span. Thank god we only see them one more time. Let's go 2-1 with them!
