BOTH Oladipo and Carter-Williams get triple-doubles in the Sixers win! That's pretty amazing.

Part of me wishes we'd taken Carter-Williams, of course, but he wouldn't be doing this for us, and we probably wouldn't have the chemistry we do, so it's probably all to the good.

I've never seen 2 players get triple dubs in the SAME game let alone 2 rooks! WOW!

Seasons cannot be sealed in December. Something you Blazer fans appear to have forgotten this season.

You are actually quoting King as if he speaks for us......wow!

I love this game. The fact that the Raptors were up almost 30 damn points on these guys! And look at what is happening in NYC and Brooklyn......what a fucking mess!

Watching this EPIC meltdown by the Raptors right now. AMAZINGLY HORRIFIC!

Aside from the Jazz, Nets, and Knicks, no ones season is over. Even the Bobcats.

Nets are only two games out of the 4th seed. Its really effectively the 5th seed since they wouldn't have home court advantage. Knicks have the fewest wins in the NBA and are 3 games back from the "4th" seed. That seed gets to avoid Mia/Indy in the first round.

The W's outscored the Raptors 42-15 in the 4th quarter last night. The Raptors had 0 defensive rebounds in the whole 4th quarter.

I mean I don't blame you guys for being excited but some of the proclamations are ridiculous considering its December 4. Most of the contending teams treat November and December like a glorified preseason.

You want ridiculous? The Warriors trailed the Raptors, AT HOME, by 27.

I'm interested: do you view the Warriors as a "contending team"?

Iggy was a good addition, but their bench is definitely weaker this year. Ya I think we're better than the Warriors. They don't have a player they can throw the ball down low who can draw double teams. Biggest issue for us vs them is if Dame can guard Curry without Nic/Wes switching onto him for too long.

This whole Nov/Dec doesn't matter thing has some merit. But getting a ~5 game lead on these other teams this early in the season doesn't hurt.

I don't know to which 'proclamations' you are referring, but please be advised you must disregard anything stated by magnifier and Kingspeed in evaluating the overall outlook of the board.

The Blazers are the best team in the league.

The best...

^^^ When 90% of the posts come from a handful of people, it's easy to think the vocal minority is actually the majority opinion.

Watching last nights Sixers vs Magic right now and I had to MUTE the TV. There is probably 4,000 people in the arena. So the sound of the game is all messed up. I'm watching the Philly show and even went and checked the Orlando show to make sure. It's so empty in the arena, the sound of people whistling, music, yelling and the thundersticks banging together makes it impossible to hear anything. All the sound is bouncing off the emptiness and it's fucking chaos! #headache

I was watching some highlights of the Wizards game and that place was empty as well. Do people on the east coast not watch basketball anymore?

Been like that for years. It's always empty in Philly, Atlanta, Detroit. Would love to see the numbers, but those arenas are empty EVERY year we show up.

While I'm at it........listening to the Magic announcers is like watching Arctic White paint dry while eating Saltine crackers!

Why not move the teams somewhere else? I'm sure there are a number of cities that would love to have them. I think it's ridiculous that Charlotte got a second team after abandoning the first team.

Charlotte and NOLA are always empty as well. It's the weirdest feeling seeing nobody there to support their team.

well, they kind of had justification for "abandoning" the original Hornets.

NBA

The @Trailblazers (15-3) could go .500 the rest of the way (32-32) & still finish w/ 14 more wins than last season (33-49)

NBA

@Trailblazers (15-3) are currently 3rd in 3PT% (41.30%). They rank as the most improved team by 3PT% from last season (+6.0%)

NBA

Carter-Williams (27p, 12r, 10a) & Oladipo (26p, 10r, 10a) become first pair of rookies in @NBAHistory to record triple-doubles in same game.

Really? Indiana, SA, and Miami all seem to be taking the early part of the regular season very seriously. OKC too. For the record, magnifier and I both predicted the Blazers would play this great BEFORE the season started. Even NB3 picked us to get 5 seed. So it's not like we're overreacting to our great started. It is, in fact, what we expected.

Could anyone find out what the playoff record is of teams that start 15-3? Elias, anyone? Our game against Indiana was the first game in 20 years in which two teams with such great records played each other. And we won the game.

Paul Coro @paulcoro
The Rockets won't have Parsons, Lin, Asik and Smith again tonight due to injuries. Garcia will start for Parsons vs. the #Suns.

Hear hear... There is a historic average that teams that have winning novembers always make the post season.
