I wonder if Atlanta would be interested in parting with Milsap for Asik and picks?

LA had better stats at center too. There's no disagreement that Horford plays the center position. But he is a natural PF.

What does natural PF mean?

He plays the center position, plays like a center, and is not as good when he tries to play like a PF.

I think they fall well under .500 if you take Millsap off that team. They have a real shot of being 3rd in the East right now. Who knows maybe Miami or Indy gets injured and they luckily back into the conference finals? Danny Ferry does look like he's interested in a longer term team build though. I guess it depends what type of picks Houston is willing to give up.

I don't understand the objection here. Put a legit starting center next to Horford and you'll get similar results to LA/Lopez and Dirk/Chandler. The issue is a lack of talent in Atl. Horford plays center out of necessity, not because that's where he wants to play, or would feel most comfortable at.

Milsap is pretty good. Seems to me Horford could have shifted to power forward if he wanted to. They could have gone after someone like Jefferson, or Lopez, or even Asik. I think he likes playing center.

I like Horford and Milsap for small ball. But I think Horford would be killing it playing with a legit center. I wouldn't wish Asik on any team though with his prima dona attitude. But I wonder if Millsap could slide over and play the 3. I don't know. That would be interesting.

Celtics can't miss.

And, Denver makes it all back in the first 5 min of the 3rd. lol Bad teams are bad.

Sully abusing Hickson in the post. So there's that.

Denver lays and egg in Boston, behind the entire game and losing. Celtics leading the worst division in the NBA. Gratz?

A lot of people blew it on Sullinger. Wish we had him.

Re: The 2013-14 Around The NBA Thread......

Who is gonna watch the Indian vs spurs game? On at 5:30

This is hilarious:

Carmelo Anthony says he's trying to shoot -- and score -- less and it's working for the Knicks, who pummeled the Orlando Magic, 121-83, at Madison Square Garden on Friday night.

"I wanted to do something a little different to see if it worked," Anthony said. "Me scoring 30 wasn't working."

Ya think? See: NY with out Melo, NY without Melo and with Lin, ..., Portland.

Re: The 2013-14 Around The NBA Thread......

I want Indiana to lose tonight. I would like being the only team in the west with 3 losses

I'm a little bit of both ways. I'd love SA to win because of what you just said. But, if SA wins we're tied for the best record with a chance to go #1 tonight. So it's really a win/win

Re: The 2013-14 Around The NBA Thread......

It's weird. SAS always plays us single coverage, but they are quickly doubling anyone that has the ball against Indiana. I'll admit I don't watch the spurs much, so I don't know if they normally double, but only single coverage us?

I really like the SAS announcers.

I did kind of giggle when they said that "30 points would have been awesome, a good quarter". I just think of how many we've had so far this year. lol.

Re: The 2013-14 Around The NBA Thread......

Sam Antonio is working Indiana bad

Re: The 2013-14 Around The NBA Thread......

Lmao, the clippers behind 6 I'm Cleveland

Oh wow. lmao. Indiana had an interesting trip to get to San antonio. Had to fly to Houston because of fog, then it was even worse, so they had to bus 3 hours to San Antonio... the 2nd bus broke down, near a whataburger. Guys were happy to at least have that... but, it's closed. Then, when they get the bus up and running, the defroster is broke, and the only way to get it to work is to heat up the inside to 179 degrees... then, to top it off, CJ watson got stuck in the bathroom. Hibbert instagrammed him finally getting out of the bathroom.

Nothin' like being on the road.

By the way, I summerized what the SAS sideline guy was saying. That's how I found it.

Re: The 2013-14 Around The NBA Thread......

I'm surprised they're that close. When your best 3 players are 7-31 you're lucky to only be down single digits.

So true. I'm just not sold on the flop show. They have no inside player. Blake griffin can't be counted on.
