The 2013-14 Around The NBA Thread......

The preseason is now over and it's time to get down to it FAMS! I think this is going to be an exciting season all across the league. Most excited I've been about the Blazers in probably 4 years

This isn't a prediction thread but since were starting things off, I don't think I'm going out on a limb to say that 'Bron will win the MVP and the Heat will 3-Peat. Their bench got better. They'll beat the Rockets in 6. Harden will lead the NBA in scoring and D12 will be the Defensive Player of the Year. Lakers won't make the playoffs but we will......#7 with 48 wins.

Let's roll!

I have often wondered if Turner would be a good fit next to Damian.

I think they will take some okay young talent instead of a pick but the main thing is that they dont' want to take back any real salary. For us we could probably do it if we gave up Leonard and someone like Crabbe if they think they can improve Leonard and turn him into something.

I had him on my fantasy team last year so I ended up paying attention to him quite a bit. I also really like him. He comes with a lot of the same things Batum brings though: Versatility, passing, a bit of rebounding, a bit of defense, a 3rd option-esque offensive game, and a bit of inconsistency from one game to the next.

But honestly, he could be a really great glue guy on a championship team. At this point, he is a poor man's Batum. But, he will improve. I would most definitely be in favor of acquiring him somehow.

This is the least I've ever been excited for an opening night. I don't really care about the 6 teams playing tonight. Only really care about Blazers games this year. I guess I'm curious about Rose and Oden. I'm kind of hope the Lakers win. They're not a threat this year and since we're shooting for the #1 seed, it's more important that the Clippers win. But whatever.
