We're getting smoked, but the Clippers are just such pussies, its hard to imagine them being anywhere near mentally tough enough to win a ring. Paul does what he can by himself, but that didn't even get them out of the first round last year. Doc can't get them another 3 rounds further.

It's not new. He's been getting it for years and it's actually been grandfathered into his contract--he's the only one in the NBA (iirc) who has both the 80% up-front payment and the full no-trade clause, which have been negotiated out of the last two CBAs...but he's technically been on the same contract (getting extensions) since 2001. The rule in the new CBA is that you can't receive more than 50% of your base salary (or 80% of guaranteed, whichever is lower) before Nov. 15 (first league payday) or 25% before Oct. 1 (limiting how "toxic" a new contract can be).
 
This game is entertaining despite the score!

Painfully evident.

CP3 is making me eat my words about Rose being the best PG in the league. Then again he does get allot of calls with his acting.

Doc is a damn good Xs and Os coach, but he seems to get worked up over everything that doesn't go his way. Hope he learns to control that.

LOL...he won a championship by cultivating that. It's not going away anytime soon.
 
So Mark Jackson and Blake Griffin kinda' got into it. This is going to be a great matchup to watch this season!

I'm pretty sure that the folks posting a lot in the "Around the NBA" thread are a different subset of people than those who say "I only watch Blazer games".

Superstar treatment. This isn't a new thing.
 
GSW has more than enough firepower to come back. But if LAC already has 33FTs, and GSWs big are in foul trouble, it could be lights-out, quickly.
 
Watching the GS-Cliiper game I wonder what their fans think about their teams offense and defensive strategies.

Through three qtrs the warrior's bench has scored 2 baskets.

He is unreal. I wonder if Warrior fans consider him a gunner...He shoots a lot of 27 footers. (With ease) To be honest their offense looks a lot like ours. All jumpers
 
It sucks that I'm missing this game--it seems like the type I really enjoy. Great players playing great ball. Much better than 82-81 brickfests.

What's more impressive to you guys, that CP3 is on his way to a possible 40/15, or that Steph is 9-12 on 3s?
